A shit show of undisciplined play, bad officiating and terrible defenseWelp...not sure what I just watched, but it wasn't pleasant.

At least when we lose to N Texas we can feel good that Nebby lost to N Illinois I guess
The referee complaining stinks. Iowa is down due to the system. Ya honestly think Wadley needed to be sat after the penalty so he didn't do it again?
Iowa can certainly take advantage of loading the box before 3rd down?
The D is giving the QB all day.
That's why we are down.
If Iowa is lucky. Big ten defenses will eat this weak offense in two minutes. Stanley will get hurt.
Thanks you. The refs aren't playing on offense for NT or on offense/defense for us. I thought NT was undersized on the DL? Look pretty good so far against our group of flunkiesRefs are bad, but they're not the reason we're behind at half.
It should be 40-14. Wisconsin would be there. Not Iowa though.Dude! We can't get a rhythm because there is a flag every possession. Not to mention they negated a TD and basically gift wrapped one for them on the last drive before half. Absolute BS.
he went to locker room early. he could be dinged.
These refs have been miserable. The roughing the passer call was garbage and the late hit out of bounds the receiver didn't even get hit
He was sat....and he hurt his ankle or at least it needed retaped. Nice call.

sure, he was sat. but was it because of being dinged or kirk throwning a tantrum. hey, i'm no kirk defender by a longshot. but i'm just not convinced AW was sat for that penalty. in my mind, this was a JB feature game anyway. perhaps that was part of it also. neither of us know for sure.
How is that technically correct? The qb still had the ball.they were marginal calls, i agree. but i think they were "technically" correct. like i said, you get the impressive none of these refs ever strapped on a helmet, but they read the hell out of the rule book. you could argue that AJ was already going down, being engaged with the LT and "happened" to be at the qb's legs and made the tackle. but that is a play on, to me, though technically correct. Manny was trying to catch up to the ball and momentum took him into the receiver who was going to wind up in the kicking net anyway. Manny ran into the wr out of bounds, technically a foul, but another play on in the real world.
