***OFFICIAL NFL DRAFT THREAD***

As a Cowboy fan, I agree with all of this. One correction - Cowboys won a playoff game in 2009 vs Eagles. :)

Oh, and I don't like Tony Romo. :)

no, i didn't see that image. thank goodness.

yes, you are right - 1 playoff win since '96, I think that is correct.

if they wanted this center, which obviously they did, they could have had him with their 3rd round pick, or at least traded for a 2nd round pick and got a legit 1st round player. as long as jer thinks he is a legit GM, this team will not be relevant.

It's 1 round. Still time to forget to submit a pick.;)

haha...i had my doubts about Spielman being the guy calling the shots but he has proved me wrong by a wide margin.

Last years draft is looking like its going to be great and the 3 guys he got last night should all play huge roles with the team this year.

Both his 1st rounders last year started all 16 games as rookies and he found a first team all pro in the 5th or 6th round.

You are correct, sir.

Bears fan here and I did not read this entire thread. But I was shocked that the Bears spent the #20 pick over all on someone they could have easily gotten in the 2nd round. When will the Bears ever learn that you take the best player available in the first round? You use later picks on players that fill needs but that #1 pick has got to be a home run. The Bears seen all the run on offensive lineman so they panic and reach for one that was projected to be a late 2nd to early 3rd rounder.

Even more idiotic considering the Bears only have 5 or 6 picks the entire draft.

They spent their 1st rounder on a kid that has been playing OL for 2 seasons, bahahahahahahahaha!!

I was shocked they passed on the TE from Notre Dame. Marshall needs some help.

Yep, pretty sure the Bengals' rep hurt himself taking the Eifert pick up after the Bears didn't pick him. :)

Have to give Spielman credit. In 2010 & 2011 the Vikings looked old and unathletic except for AP, Harvin, & Greenway.

In the last year, they added a great draft class, rid themselves of a extremely talented but off the charts cry baby for a 1st round pick, plucked GB's best WR (who does get hurt a lot though) and have now added 3 athletic players at need areas.

This.

They now have a pair of tall CB's in Cook and Xavier Rhodes to help combat the tall WR's in the NFC North. Hopefully Cook can start to stay healthy. Kalil is going to be the franchise LT for the next 10 years, Harrison Smith is looking like he could be a pro bowler for years, Kyle Rudolph was a pro bowler last year, Blair Walsh was 1st team All Pro last year.

If Ponder can become just a good QB, he doesnt have to be great, the Vikings could be a Super Bowl contender in the very near future.

The draft is here, so let's talk about it. Who's your team and what do you hope/think they will do with their first pick, later rounds? Wher do the hawks go if any get drafted? My team is the packers and I see a lot of needs: DL, LB, S, RB, OL, TEI think the Packers go with the best availabe linemen D or O with th 26thpick if they don't trade it away, which would be fine too. I would like to see them draft a running in the later rounds. I have heard talks of Lacy or Ball, but I would honestly like to see them take Marcus Lattimore if they can get him in the 3rd round or later. What do you guys think?
Packers fan here but I was watching NBA playoffs so I missed the draft. I saw they got a DE from UCLA. Happy with the pick? Any other Packer fans have thoughts?

Murph just said Mel Kuiper went 2-32 on his projections! Todd McShay went 1-32! These guys get paid for their "insights"!

Well given that the Bears haven't had a first round draft pick successfully make an serious difference on the team since 2000 (Brian Urlacher), nothing the Bears do surprises me.

49ers fan here and I have no concept of what they are doing so far.

If there is one fanbase that should be upset it is the the Cowboys...just wow. That War Room is not celebrating their draft picks, they are celebrating the menus...Prime Rib and Filet Mignon.

Absolutely LOVE Eddie Lacey to the Packers. Many thought GB would take him in the first round; getting Lacey at the end of the 2nd round and an extra pick is tremendous value.
