Looked like there were 3 little men, wearing black and white, who didn't want to see Iowa in the NCAA bracket. Some of the calls they made, you can't explain. One thing that can't be overlooked, though, is that Iowa shot 2/2 on free throws and 2/8 from the floor, 1/7 from 3, after State took the lead 50-49. Iowa is a good free-throw shooting team and bad 3-shooting team, so those numbers are troubling.
Iowa outplayed MSU, as Izzo said, but had the win inexplicably robbed from them...

I read this as sarcastic. Not sure if it is but they hadn't been in there since 9:42. Also, the 1 thing Clemons needs to do in the offseason is work on his left had. You can't drive with traffic with 1 hand.

Exactly. Iowa shooters were getting hammered all night and nothing. And Dev drew more of a foul on his desperation 3 pointer than White committed just prior. Ridiculous. The fix was in, clearly.

Refs killed us in IC also on that flop by Plasticface Trittt in the last minute on Zach.....
One of the most obvious flops of the year.....

There was a reason why Iowa had hardly any points in that 7 minutes, Iowa was getting mugged by the refs and MSU. Hard to score points when every time down the court your getting smacked around.

Refs don't explain the loss but Izzo gets the calls. His group of bangers are ALWAYS allowed to get away with fouls. Basabe goes up for the shot, gets blocked but the guy got all kinds of arm and body. There are numerous examples in the game BUT . . .

You can go further, you can compare White's shooting foul to Payne's takedown of McCabe that everyone saw and no one called. Not sure that thing would've been legal in football or wrestling, let alone basketball, and could've been called a flagrant foul.

because it was. This year was NCAA or bust, the NIT is like getting a free dinner of liver and onions. Sure, after starving for food for so long like Iowa was last year you'll eat anything but now it sucks.
