Once again, it's relying on the side of the ball that you know CANNOT win games for you, instead of the side that CAN.

The pathetic thing is that if Iowa goes on to lose this game, people will somehow blame the offense when the coaches never even gave them a chance.

All the more reason to ALWAYS play to win. If clock management and conservatism are this staff's achilles, a very close second is an ineptitude in it's awareness of game flow, momentum swings and who's getting the bounces.

That said, this was what Iowa needed to start the 2nd half. A PSU score there and it most certainly would have been over. By the same token, an Iowa TD here and it will be over for PSU, as the pressure just becomes immense on their offense (their weakness).
