IOWA sorely needs toughness, and without Gatens, there isn't any upperclassmen willing/able to lead. Marble offers no leadership at all, being a junior and handling the ball as much as he does, it would be nice if he could lead.

It is not the talent, it is not any one or two players, it is pretty simple. Young team on the road shooting 25% while the other team is shooting 51%.

I hate that we still can pencil in every road game against a ranked team as an automatic blowout. How the hell do you shoot 25% in a game?

Iowa is a slightly better than mediocre team in a very strong B1G. They needed some luck to go to the dance and they almost got some against MSU and Indy but they never stepped up and grabbed it. Now they're behind the 8 ball and they need a big win bad. They just aren't good enough yet to get one. Hopefully next year everything comes together but as of yet, Iowa is going nowhere fast.
