Nah, I don't believe that. There is likely a good percentage that would be fine with 8 wins on average , but i'd say almost no one is ok wit getting thumped in bowl games, or any game. Every single true Hawk fan would like to see 9+ wins every year, and at least competing for a division title come November.

I'm an asshole because I think Kirk Ferentz is an overpaid, controlling prude with average results as a head coach. Got it.

It's funny cuz when James Franklin was praising Barkley after the game, my wife says: "Has Kirk Ferentz ever spoken about his players like that before? I don't remember hearing him doing that."
Kirk thinks he's somehow the ultimate judge of what is acceptable character. The guy, IMO is just a conceited prick.
 
Delusions of grandeur here. PSUs defense is not a great defense. Every defense will do what PSt did tonight. And if we're too stupid to game plan for 8/9 in the box, we ain't winning many more games.

I'm not Capn kirk lover.. but to say he hasnt praised his players after a game before is pretty drunk drunk drunk!
 
Man, there are some whiny motherfuckers on here right now. You'd think we just lost to NDSU again. Stanley looks to be very solid. He hasn't crumbled under pressure on the road in Ames or at home against the #4 team in the country. We still have Wadley who is the biggest playmaker at RB we've had during Kirk's tenure. Easley and Smith-Marsette look promising at WR. The offensive line has actually pass blocked really well, which ironically is the opposite of last year. Jewell looks like he's healthy again. He was a freaking animal out there. This team just doesn't strike me as mentally soft to let one heartbreaker ruin the rest of their season. I'm still optimistic about this season.

What's your point? I never said Iowa should blitz, just said to stay aggressive as they had all night on Defense. Iowa coaches had the defense go prevent and PSU marched down the field. It's a shame for the team. That's been Parker's MO since he took over.
 
How could anyone not call that defensive effort NOBLE?! Like the Michigan effort last year. Iowa's D played two games of downs and still had Iowa in the game. Parker's defense was every bit as good as Norms. Great effort by all the defense. Nobody will hold the Lions to 21 points or less this year. That last pass was way more luck than skill, terrible spin on the ball and it could easily have been knocked down. My hats off to a gutsy bunch of Hawkeyes that nearly pulled the upset.

Yeah... honestly its people's way of coping.

But I'm not that mad.. because our schedule is brutal this year and were young at QB

Going to take some kind of bizarre miracle to have a chance at contending for the west.

neither did the 2010 team with multiple active NFL players. But we all know how that went.

That's the thing. We have a lot of talent, heart, & guts on this team. IMO, the coaching staff is failing them. We win by 2 TDs if Brian understands you can't run thru a wall for 3 quarters.
