% of Tavernhoks in your area

So even though my family and I, growing up and now, had men's basketball and football season tickets, attend most wrestling meets and even some women's bb games, we're still considered tavern hoks because we did not attend school at the University of Iowa? Nevermind all the money and time we have poured into it. Geez, no wonder it is a Hawkeye State and the ratio is probably 3:1. Clowns are just mad that when they walk around campus or attend games they see other teams gear including Iowa even when they are not play Iowa or that other team. Guess if the clowns were smart enough they would know the difference between a fan and alumni. Of course, I would not want to claim to be a Clown fan if I did not go there either.
 
I'm a tavernhok and proud. I take no offense to the term. Just a group of people trying to feel elitist.
 
I am a tavernhok. I grew up being taught to cheer for the hawkeyes. That didn't change when I went to a different school.

What pisses me off are the FIB's that couldn't get into Illanoy, so they went to Iowa and now claim superiority over tavernhoks.
 
Yep, my dad, brother, and cousins are tavern hawks and have liked the hawks their entire lives. Here's to the tavern hawks!
 
Here's a question. Is my wife a tavernhok? She did not go to school there, but I did. Should she be a non-tavernhok because she married into non-tavernhokage?
 
I suppose I have a Tavernhok but I went to Northern Iowa to run track. At the time they had the better program.

But I cheered for Iowa everytime they played UNI in every sport but track. I'd say 75% of the students and UNI are Tavernhoks.

Stop starting your own threads that are born from Clone terms and it won't happen anymore... :D

Now to get back on subject...Clone fans are disgusted by Tavernhoks because their teams have never had the where with all to capture the imagination of the state. They also refuse to realize that these universities represent the state of Iowa and aren't televised just for their respective alumni...they also turn a blind eye to the fact that their own AD had some research department come up with "I Chose I-State" in an effort to create "Tavernclones" not to boost enrollment because America Needs Horticulturists...

I don't have a problem with people who are fans of the team that didn't go to the school, but I do have a problem with those that like to claim bragging rights, rub it in, etc. that have no frigging idea who the QB is, what the team record is, etc.

If you want to have the privilege of talking smack, be a real fan. You aren't a fan just because you have a team tshirt.
