OC rumor

Tom Moore was in the football facility in Iowa City today.

Iowa is his alma mater.

My understanding is overtures were made for the OC job.

That would be quite the hire.

He does have quite the resume' indeed.
However, he will be 74 this fall and I doubt that a guy who has been serving the Jets in a consulting role from home for the last couple of years would feel like going to work on a daily basis. Not to mention hitting the recruiting trail and traveling to 5-6 away games a year.

If he wants to get his former co-worker Howard Mudd to coach our online we'd be set (maybe not for long at their age, lol).

Mudd is 70 but still probably the best in the biz.

No! My Eagles need all the help they can get! :D

What about Jim Caldwell? Just throwing the name out there, nothing more.

If KF went this route for a year or two, I don't think that would be a bad idea...because what would come with it would be the heir apparent at OC, whether or not it was acknowledged at the time of the hire...like if a Tom Moore came in with a Brian Ferentz as OL coach...let Brian have some responsibilities with the offense...then in a couple years, OC.

That said, I doubt it would happen.
