Not looking good for Kozan

Hogwarts rumors are off.

Tyler Nesset @Tiggerhawkeye
@Bry_Mac @tremendousum @Gamblndan the latest rumor is kozan is scared of flying hogwartz is out of the running

I'm sure this kid is a good kid and wants to make the right decision. But in the end, I have little to no respect for someone who gives another person his word and then goes back on it.....unless there is a damn good reason to do so. Even my 7 year old son knows that when you make a promise, you keep it.

The promise is when you sign the LOI. I'm not sure what people don't get about that. Verbals are just a fancy way of saying you are my GF for the time being, but you ain't my wife yet.

I wonder if Iowa is even still pursuing him.

it makes you wonder. i would not doubt it at all if this kid has somewhat painted himself into a corner with the 3 schools of supposed interest. they only take a certain number of OL in any one class. i bet the two new unheard of guys got a phone call this morning for more than one reason (curry).

Hmmm....This just means you don't respect Barkley Hill, Albert Young or any other recruit that de-committed and came to Iowa.

Would you rather have the kid unhappy here for a year and then just transfer?

Latest on Kozan-just re-thinking his decision. Iowa still in play. Auburn pulling hard, and Michigan still an option.

You're right, I don't.

Cool. So you would rather a kid come here and waste a year of our coaches time and the University's resources and then transfer than re-think his decision before signing on the dotted line and making the right decision the first time around?

That makes sense....

If he bags Iowa I hope he goes to the gaze and baby blue so Johnson can t-off on him in a couple years

The whole "lost respect" thing for kids who change their minds is laughable. The is such an unbelievable amount of bullsh!t that goes on in the whole process. In the end even if the kid is lucky enough to have supportive roll models at home they are still only 18 years old and dealing with the biggest decisions of their lives up to that point. I might get a little ticked about some coaching staffs roles in the process, but it would have to be a pretty ******* special situation for me to get ticked about a kid.

But Hill changed his commitment from the clones, that is completely different. :D

I now think you and Jozzer are idiots, but not for your opinions on the Kozan situation
I'm sorry, his tornado of stupidity sucked me in.

I apologize to the rest of the fans on the board, I just don't believe in calling out a kid for making an educated decision. We know nothing about the situation or what happened in the last 24 hours that made him think again, so we should just sit back and wait until there is at least a decision made, before making remarks about a possible future Iowa player.

If you are from Ankeny, you probably know that Urbandale/Waukee is the largest growing section of Des Moines, and where much of the money is going right?
Here's a good link for you...http://images.businessweek.com/ss/10/01/0128_americas_fastest_growing_cities/16.htm
