NF's brother probably failed to become a big-time athlete so he's attempting to live vicariously through Noah. He probably hopes to get a portion of his NFL wages and be a clinger-onner once NF breaks into the NFL.

Noah said:From the coaches side, they handled it the way they thought they handled it. And from my perspective, it doesn't really effect me. I just go in when I'm told to go in and that's all I can really do about it.
Noah said:My brother and my family have their opinion, I guess, you know, that doesn't really matter in that situation.
Noah said:From the coaches perspective, they don't really care how my family feels or anything like that.
The last one is the correct one. These are the quotes that stand out to me.
WTF on that last response??? I guess Hoah is already an NFL Hall of Fame caliber TE like Dallas Clark. What a dumb ass!His brothers didn't just bitch about playing time, though. They're running the program into the ground that's making him a high draft pick. Eff them and their big red.
His family is a bunch of shitty husker fan trash.

I disagree with that. I don't think KF is going to lie to an NFL scout/GM about one of his players. If a direct question is asked, he'll answer it. He won't rip the player but he'll speak candidly about it. As loyal as he is to his players, he has to remain loyal to all future players. If KF gets a reputation for glossing over his player's issues to NFL people, those NFL people will stop showing up to ask the questions. NFL people are worried about their pay checks too. If they draft players based on a coach's recommendation and it ends up biting them in the rear, they'll find other players to look at. KF would be stupid to try and cover for players in this situation. I don't think he's stupid.I don't believe for a second that Kirk would say anything negative about his guys to the NFL. The only negative he would say is referenced by what he wouldn't say. Scout's question: "Is Noah Fant a great team player?" Kirk's answer: "He has great family support behind him."
Because then nothing negative was said about Fant, but the point was given. Kirk is way to classy to cut down any of his players, he wants them all to succeed in life.
Those were my sentiments when the comment was posted and remain the same today. Kirk is too classy to do that to a kid and why would he in the first place? More Iowa players in the NFL reflects better on him and his programI don't believe for a second that Kirk would say anything negative about his guys to the NFL. Definitely an interesting topic of discussion, but maybe we should just let this one drop?
We all agree that Noah Fant is a great young man and teammate who has handled this as well as he can. Right now he is supporting his team, and it seems like he is all-in. But if Heaven-forbid he ever wanders onto this site (or Twitter, or other boards, etc.), and he sees fans of HIS TEAM trashing his family, and even taking a few veiled shots at him, that can't leave a good taste, can it?
He's a Hawk, and he has our full support. If we don't like what his family is saying, let's vent to our friends/family, not in the public space.
Or not, just a thought.
Or maybe it would drive him to tell his family to stop acting like entitled Real Housewives Of Atlanta.Definitely an interesting topic of discussion, but maybe we should just let this one drop?

George Kittle would probably beg to differ as well.WTF on that last response??? I guess Hoah is already an NFL Hall of Fame caliber TE like Dallas Clark. What a dumb ass!
+1 I was just about to post this. He had NFL HOF type talent if he could just stay healthy. Best blocking TE of the Ferentz era and is the reason why he played as a true frosh.Tony Moeaki would get my vote for our best TE pass catching athlete ever, in the KF era.
Every single program has families frustrated with their kids playing time. I'm sure Jones's family might be thinking he should be the starting LB. I'm sure 2 of the 3 RBs families think their kid should be getting more touches. On and on down the depth chart you go it is what it is. If coaches were to spend 10 seconds a day per kid worrying about that they'd never get anything done or make anybody happy. But because he's a potential 1st round pick it's just a more in the news sort of thing than who the backup right guard is and how their splitting reps. The last one is the correct one.
I get family frustrations, but when you start tearing down the school that made you a 1st rounder, you might want to check the lip. Nebraska fan or not, that's stupid.
When he was at his healthy best he was best two way TE as well. He was a punishing blocker. That got him on the field early and often. His pass catching was a bonus. We underutilized him in that regard I would say. He'd have a bigger gripe about that then Fant can ever sayTony Moeaki would get my vote for our best TE pass catching athlete ever, in the KF era.
He also shared the field with another NFL caliber TE most of his career too in Myers... (whom I'd compared to TJH quite a bit) KF and KOK have experience with using two TEs that are capable of doing damage in the passing game. BF was in NE with Gronk and they run two TEs a lot there too. We are always greedy for more more more. Impossible to make every one happy all the time. It just is.+1 I was just about to post this. He sure did. Good call. He had a nice career too. I feel bad for CJF. He'd just signed like a 3-4 yr 10 mil or so contract for the Texans before he hung it up for concussions. Any player like Chandler that gets past their rookie contract and gets a 2nd or 3rd deal is fortunate in that league.Don't forget about Scott Chandler during Tony's freshman year as well. He had more than his cup of coffee with the Bills etc.
