next years expectations

i do not talk about burke. he is solid and will be all frosh b1g. and probably runner up in the frosh of the yr. herby brings him up like we should expect gesell to have the same impact. i hope gesell does but i wont say he will. i expect gesell and clemmons to basically split time at point and combine to make up a much better pg spot than we have now. but being frosh you never know how they will react to the college game. they could go meyers leonard and do little to nothing as frosh or go the zeller route and completely turn around a team. my hope is they are an improvement over what we have now because marble is a subpar pg and cartwright is struggling so bad and hurt that i feel sorry for him.

Yep, no shift key. BUSTED!!!

again i see you making yourself to be the biggest fool on HN. tell you what you find another Top 100 pg That came into the BT to compare Gesell to in regards as to what type of expectation to have.
again both are very similar in many ways, the only detractor for Gesell that i can see is that Burke went to Michigam and Gesell is coming to Iowa.
but according to your defeatist or complete negative thought proccess. nobody but nobody is allowed to have a positive attitude

Tracy Abrams at Illinois and Shannon Scott at OSU are both class of 2011 pgs in the Big 10, but obviously not good examples. Of course, Josh Oglesby was also rated higher than Burke, but that is neither here nor there, since you won't give JO any love since he doesn't play for Michigan.

Keith Appling at MSU was a top 50 recruit in 2010. Anthony Johnson at Purdue was a top 100. They are other top 100 PGs in the league, and may be another metric by which to measure Gesell, besides your golden boy Burke.

hard to use Appling at Wiscy as he is playing behind argueably the best pg in the BT.
Johnson is playing behind Lew Jackson a senior pg that has a few years starting under his belt.
the OSU kid playes behind Craft, the supposed 2nd best pg in the BT. the Illinois kid would be a good one to project the low end of expectations, but i don't follow every team in the BT, again you have shown your ability to fail as trying to use 3 players that sit behind starters. on top teams in the BT, but you did give credence to my expectation for Gesell in replacing Cartwright and his #'s.
Abram's #'s.
4.1 ppg
2.2 rpg
1.9 apg
1.7 topg
.4 spg
20.9 mpg

see i am not afraid of posting meanigful stats if i know who to compare them to.
this gives the low side of what to expect from our Top 100 pg
you do need 2 references of interest to make sense of stats, Burke was the only player in the BT that i knew about, so i used him, and now i have another playe to use in my expectations for Gesell

we will have to wait til next season and them it will still be a apples to oranges comparison as he will have a full season under his belt. just like the others, i like to compare incoming Freshmen to current freshmen to guage potential success

I'll bet Appling is amazing when he finally plays 30 minutes per game. He was ranked so high.

Yeah, tell him Herb. I am sick of all of these clown fans making fun of Gabe just because he doesn't have prison muscle yet.

hahaha prison muscle?

Yeah, I bet if Gabe had the ISU training program (sitting in prison), instead of what he did (was dragged off a football pitch a year ago and given a basketball because of a growth spurt), he would be dominant.

Give him two years. They guy is 7 feet tall and runs like a gazelle. Once he forgets all the soccer and learns some BB, he will be a beast. He reminds me of Dwight Howard, only smarter.

i have no intention of predicting next seaon til the schedule comes out. i suspect there will be no CSU'S or NIU's on the schedule.

i think we might see a BE team and maybe a Atlantic Ten team, and i am curious to see how the trio of ISU, UNI and Drake series turnout, and what kind or Touney they can get into, i can still see 0ne or 2 lower level team to get the team used to playing together, but not like the 6-7 teams we saw this year
i also think the Pac 12 will be in the picture for a matchup for Iowa, if a Cambell like team is the lowest in RPI standing i will take that, as anything under 200 is good
