next years expectations

You guys are turning this into a Gatens thread.

First of all it is ok to change your mind about anything. What we have seen from Gatens the past 4 days is something special. But I can't help but wonder where has this been the past couple of years? It is like 2 weeks ago Gatens woke up and realized that his days as a Hawk are numbered so he was going to go out and lay it all on the line. Then in the Wisconsin game he got so hot he started firing, and hitting, shots with someone in his face. This is something we have not seen very much of from Gatens as I have even seen him pass up some wide open looks earlier in the year. I cannot help but wonder if this is a lingering side effect of playing under Lick his first 2 years. If he would have taken some of those shots when Lick was coach he would have gotten benched.

Hopefully Gatens can continue his torrid pace and lead Iowa to a couple more wins.

again you edit my post to suit you in anything i say, but like i said i never bashed Gatens, for 4 years i have been Gatens biggest supporter and defender of him against people like you

i knew you wouldn't because YOU CAN'T.
never ever have i put a Iowa player down, i have been the biggest supporter and defender of Iowa players on here and any other sites,
You are the biggest liar and the biggest offender of putting Iowa players down by saying they can't do this or they can't do that, not to mention the team by saying they can't or won't win any games, but how did that turnout, they beat top 25 teams in back to back game in Indiana and Wisconsin

Yes you did. You know you did. I'm not going to waste my time trying to make you look good when you do nothing but hate on Gatens, and then lie and pretend you're a huge Hawk fan when you get called on it.

I'm sure if you and John Beilein cancel your Miada joy-ride morning, you can find time to look it up.

i agree with this and it has been my biggest thing.
Gatens scoring and other stats can be replaced, ANYBODY can score and rebound or get assists; BUT it takes somebduy special to step in and replace what Gatens HAS LEARNED over the course of 4 years. like how to draw fouls or avoid fouls, something McCabe has yet to learn, then it is the little things that don't show up in the stat sheet, especially in being a vocal leader on and off in the game and in Practice especially practice,
who knows he might get a shot at the pro's be it NBA or Overseas
boy i bet the real hater will be out in force over that thought especially Ghost

for a clown fan ghost you are funny; i use a player for comparison that playes the same position and has a close ranking and you call me a Michigan fan,
why shouldn't i use him both are going to be playing in the BT against the same competition, why should a player of greater or lessor rank and different positions
i use players that are close in just about every catagory to base my arguement, what do you use, other than cut and delete and twist the posts to suit your needs
nugh said you are a total loser

And now you start hating on McCabe. Im tired of you ripping on Iowa kids that are giving their heart and soul to the program for 4 years. They dreamed of being Hawks when they were growing up and now they are here and giving 100% effort and herby just sits here and hates on them.

ghost is not a clown fan

I know u2 are having a disagreement, which is fine after all this is a forum. But let's keep the arguments civil.

Yeah, I'm mad about this Herby. You try and back pedal over your Gatens hate, and instead slam half the guys on the team instead. I'm sorry McCabe isn't as good a Jordan Morgan yet. Next year, I'll be laughing when Zach takes it to Morgan again, and Gatens is raining threes on Darius Morris in the NBA while sorry-*** Zach Novak is playing in Guatemala for fruit pickers wages.

I'm guessing our Big 10 schedule is harder next year so I say 10 non conference wins and 7 conference wins. 17 total.

Do we know what the OOC schedule looks like for next year? I know the full schedule has not been released but I would think OOC games are set up in advance.

Way to derail the post immediately Ghost. If you don't like Herby so much, then why don't you just stop posting in his threads? Grow up

I think its the same as this year except we get Illinois and MSU at home and play at Michigan and Ohio State. Play all the other teams both home and away. Obviously the dates have not been finalized.

you have to be the biggest fool on here, you twist it to suit your feelings.
notice i said senior leadership as a big loss,
points and stats can be replaced. i have never once put Gatens down in fact when you and other said he wouldn't even start for anyother BT team i called you a idiot then as well as the others, {and no I am not going bach 4-5 months or so to find your quote}.
again his senior leadership will be the biggest loss.
since you claim to be sick go stick your head in a toilet and flush

as to Gesell starting my expectation for him are to replace Cartwright and his #'s nothing more;
5.9 ppg
1.8 rpg
4.1 apg
.8 spg
and hopefully not turn the ball over as much at 2.3 TO's pg
boy those sure are monster expectation for a Top 100 kid who is rated higher than Burke was 90th to Gesell at 84th

senior leadership is the hardest thing to get over, even Coles senior leadership loss was felt
so get over yourself and your high esteem you have and GFYS

I really hope Leonard stays another year as I will get tickets to see that game. I think Woodbury will match up much better against Leonard than the combination Fran put against him on Sunday.

I think Leonard is gone. Somedoby on the Illini Scout Board said he comes from a dirt poor family and if he is projected anywhere in Round 1 he is gone. His potential alone will probably get him picked in the 1st round.
