NBA Playoffs

So this is what happens when Scott Brooks has 1 day to game plan...solid work by OKC tonight

It is Lebron's NBA,....the rest of the players are just renting it.

This mfer is a natural born bb killer when the Heat really need a game.
I think it is clear that he this era's MJ. Just incredible.

Exactly... Lebron made the decision that he was not going to get into a 6-7 game series with the Nets and he took over the game like he is capable of every night.... it's just not necessary.

Last night really shows how much LeBron's game has grown. Back in his Cleveland and early Miami days and you could get him to settle for jumpers in those situations. Last night he was determined to get to the hoop, he was posting up, going right to the block to get the ball and go to work. LeBron wouldn't have done that at 25.

Compare that to the end of the Clippers-OKC game on Sunday, when Durant kept settling for catching the ball at the top of the key when Chris Paul was on him. Durant has never been the physical specimen that LeBron has but he's gotten considerably stronger since he came into the league. I fully expect to see the same kind of continued growth in his game over the next few years, he'll get to the point where you can't even consider throwing a pg on him. It's a lot of fun watching two guys as talented as these guys to improve each year.

I'm not sure I agree on Durant.

Just as you say... he's never been the physical speciman that Lebron is and he never will be and I'm not sure he will have the strength that Lebron has to bully his way to the basket when neccesary.

Granted, Durant will only improve and get better and better and has a better jump shot so who knows, but you can't always rely on a jump shot as Lebron can take it to the hoop at pretty much any given moment.

I don't think Durant will be able to just overpower people off the dribble to the hoop like LeBron. I do expect him to be strong enough to get post position on the block especially against a smaller guard. He's already come a long ways on both ends as far as posting up and guarding the post. He got bumped all around as a rookie, Dirk worked him over on the block in 2011, but he's gotten stronger each year and gotten better at getting position. He's got more length and a better touch than LeBron, he can score in different ways from the block.

This I agree with.

Heat close tonight. Lebron has made up his mind, he will play the least # of games and enjoy a few days off while the Pacers Wizards probably go 7.

Durant will be the greatest scorer in NBA history by the time he is done. Lebron did just refuse to take tough shots, but just went down on the block...once he gets it in there, he is almost impossible to stop, even by centers, due to his strength and athleticism and quickness...not fair.

So ow that the finals are set, any predictions?

I take Heat in 6. Lebron almost let the old guys get one last year. He won't leave the door open this year.

Three in a row and Lebrons legacy continues to grow.

Crown the King.

Spurs in 7. Two differences between this year and last year are home court advantage and Kawhi Leonard. Of all the key players for both teams, Leonard is the one who is significantly better today than he was a year ago.

I gotta go with the Heat too. They just have that extra gear that no other team has. The Spurs are a great team with some sure HOF'ers but at their best, they are still a level below Miami at their best. I think it'll be decided in 6.
