Little Feat is kind of amazing to watch. Coordinating such a diverse amount of instruments and players is one thing in the studio, but they somehow keep everything tight live too. Pretty impressive.

I had a hard time keeping Neil Young off my list. Harvest definitely would be in my top 20 (maybe even Harvest Moon...)

This 1976 gem pivoted the group in a unique and different direction.
It came on the heels of "Stampede" which IMO was a dud.

It's my 2nd favorite Doobs album after "The Captain and Me."

Excellent.

Gary Richrath did most of the guitar heavy lifting for REO.

REO was my first concert I ever attended. Spring 1974. Surf Ballroom, Clear Lake IA.
Brownsville Station opened.
Loved REO's early stuff -- not so much late '70s and after. That '74 show should have been really good.

Oh Ya, The CARs The first album and Candy O. Well how about the greatest hits.

There are a couple of groups that I've come to appreciate more throughout the years, and The Cars is one. I was always a fan, but now appreciate the nuances of how they blend rock with new wave/synth. Very cool stuff.

Another would be Hall & Oates. I always enjoyed their stuff but have come to appreciate the uniqueness of their sound, especially the early stuff. Nobody else really sounds like them. An interesting mix of soul and pop with addictive hooks.

More 70s gold
He was knighted as a Knight Bachelor in 1995
On my iPhone playlist.

Another good example of that decade's great melodies.

Here's another. Try to avoid not moving to the groove.....
