This guy has me hooked the past year or so. Nothing worse than bro country and this brings me back to the George, Waylon, Merle days of my youth.

And i am not on any of those platforms. I just updated my LinkedIn profile to reflect the fact I retired 3 years ago.

Used to catch them at The Fillmore in SF in the Late Sixties

Hard to believe just 10 years after that I caught Springsteen at Winterland in SF in Dec. at the end of his 'Darkness on the Edge of Night' tour. That old place was literally shakin'!

There were 3 main venues

The Fillmore

Winterland

And the Avalon

There were 3 or more groups playing every night usually at all three

We used to go on Thursday Nights and also most Sunday nights

The teenagers would flood the places Friday and Saturday

Went to see the Doors on a Thursday Night at the Fillmore and Janis Joplin was
standing right behind me

Also, when Janis played at the KRNT Theater in DM, two of my friends called her at
the hotel where she was staying, and stopped by and partied with her

They got free tickets for all of us, and we gave her a ride to our house after the concert

I remember sitting on the porch steps talking with Sam Andrews and James Gurley about
friends we had in SF
