A couple from the Firm ... Paul Rodgers (Free/Bad Company) and Jimmy Page (you know) along with Chris Slade and Tony Franklin (Manfred Mann/Uriah Heep).

Always makes me think of the movie American Warewolf in London ...

My favorite CCR, bar none. Fogerty writes in his book that he got letters from Vietnam veterans stating that Bad Moon Rising would get them pumped up before a jungle raid.

Fogerty should be buried in Arlington when he dies for all he did for those soldiers, then and to this day. I can't think of another artist as connected with that war.

Other Forgerty compositions of the American soldier fighting both communism and their own government include "Who'll Stop The Rain", "Up Around The Bend", "Fortunate Son", maybe "Green River" probably "Run Through The Jungle"

Love the individual members, but, as a group, The Firm never worked for me. Hard to say what the issue was, but Page was pretty strung out during that period.

My favorite CCR tune
Another CCR classic. John championed the cause of the underdog, the journeyman, the time worn, the battle scarred, the survivor, and the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of America better than any modern recording artist , including Bruce Springsteen.
