Fantastic Plastic - Flamin' Groovies (playlist of entire album)

Had a chance to listen to this a few times. It stands up pretty well. A weak song or two, but the rest is good to exceptional.

The release date in 2017. With all the personnel changes through the years, it looks like they had enough members left alive to do an album. The songs sound very much like period pieces from when the band was active (1968-1980). They were a great live band and cover band. The problem was, they their own material was always a bit behind the style of the times. They started out as a San Francisco band that wasn't much into Psychedelic.

I wonder how many of these songs are new, or old material they hadn't recorded or made demos of 40 - 45 years ago.

Well...gosh...it's been 42 years ago. I really don't remember Styx's set much less JF's. Beer and some wacky tobaccy probably played a part in that.
