So these mostly more successful programs find Moss an important piece but Fran preferred his son instead? Bad look for Fran. He’s happy to roll with the least diverse team in the Big Ten, lacking explosive players, poor defensively, no transfers, and 20% of team his sons. Good Lord.

More successful programs: Cincinnati, ISU, Louisville
Least diverse team in Big 10: 10 white players, 3 non-white
Lacking explosive players: Two most explosive players, Cook and Moss gone. Cook explosive under the rim. Moss could blow past defender and get to rim.
Poor defensively: 205th ranked defensive efficiency. Worst in Big Ten. Best defender Moss gone.
No transfers: 0-3 this week
20% of team his sons: 2 of the 10 scholarship players are named McCaffery

If Moss goes to any of the B1G schools or that other school in the state and tears it up, Fran ought to get his walking papers.

Iowa beat 2 of those 3 teams this season and made it further than all 3 in the NCAA tournament. Plus, you used the word "mostly" then listed 3 of the 7 as better than Iowa.
Cook is explosive but that has nothing to do with what you said.
Moss could blow past defenders and get to the rim?? LOL he almost never did that. He was a spot up shooter 90% of the time.
You claimed that Fran prefers Conner to Moss. Where is the evidence? They don't play the same position. Moss started and Conner didn't. Moss saw plenty of minutes, more than Conner.
We were/are poor defensively with or without Moss. He wasn't exactly Gary Payton.
We missed out on Harvey. That's 1 transfer. The Hauser's were never coming here so counting them is dumb.
Iowa is not a destination for quick talent, nor defensive stalwarts, with or without Moss. The problem is much bigger.

I’m not sure it makes a lot of difference where he actually goes. The fact that he’s considering Arkansas and Arizona means that he did not transfer because he wanted to be closer to home.
Was it because he wanted to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond? Some of these programs are pretty high level.

And Alex Thompson transferred the other way, just as he had his finest moments as a Hawkeye in the 2006 conference tournament.
Of course he was an Ames native, so not nearly as cut and dried.

If Isaiah Moss transfers to Arkansas and plays for Eric Musselman he is going to learn to play defense in a hurry. And to compete until he drops.
