MJ is LeBron's *****.

Duff is right, and there was no bigger Chicago Bulls fan than this guy growing up in Chicagoland.

LeBron is unlike anything we've ever seen as an athlete. What he doesn't have is the killer instinct.

Remember that he is only 28.

But he has logged roughly 30,000 minutes in the NBA. 40,000 minutes in the NBA is like being a 30 year RB in the NFL, basically you're on borrowed time. James is about 3/4 through the prime of his career even though he is still a young guy.

Some guys such as Paul Pierce, Dirk, Kobe have gone past 40,000 and still be effective. James probably can too but don't expect this production to last into his mid to late 30s like Jordan.

Remember Jordan played 3 seasons in college, which is not even close to the NBA grind. He also had one year basically off early in his career because of injury and than 2 years off after his first 3 titles.

I'm not trolling. LeBron is better than MJ in every facet of the game. Hes added a more developed post up game and a more consistent outside shot to his freak athleticism and strength. He equals MJ in scoring ability, hes a much more versatile defender, he has the passing ability of Magic Johnson. He is literally the best and most complete basketball player the world has ever seen.

I saw MJ in his prime on WGN and NBC at least once a week, and I've seen LeBron. MJ can't do what LeBron can.

Jordan played in an era when defenders routinely assaulted anyone driving to the basket (particularly in the playoffs). That does not happen anymore. Barring an ACL, there is no reason why LeBron cannot also play into his mid to late 30's.

Duff is an idiot, he lost all credibility last spring when he made the boneheaded comment of Lebron being twice the player Jordan was. Can we move on please.

another reason it ain't even close

Does the NBA still play defense?

Lets just go ahead and get them all out the way right now: they're all thugs, I am a middle age white dude i can't relate, they all smoke weed, they travel on every play. Does that pretty much cover it all, is there any more?

Mentally, lebron is no where close. I've watched him fall apart and give up in too many playoff games.

Ive seen MJ milk way too many cows on the court during playoff games.

See how easy it is to make stuff up that is completely false?

Lebron's stat line in the game that he "gave up" against the Celtics:

27 pts 19 reb. 10 assists

What are you talking about?

You meant it, then tried to back track when you got called out on it, whatever, man.

My position is, and always has been, LBJ is clearly a better player than MJ. I'm not backing down from anything.

He's also arguably the greatest athlete the world has ever seen.

Perhaps you were too young to understand what you were watching when Jordan was playing.

This is such a ridiculous arguement right now. Maybe someday Lebron can get there. He is the best basketball athlete I've ever seen. But nobody wanted it more than Jordan. He made everyone better around him. Hell, he commanded them to be better. How good was Pippen without Jordan, was he a top 50 all time player? I don't think so.
