This is such a ridiculous arguement right now. Maybe someday Lebron can get there. He is the best basketball athlete I've ever seen. But nobody wanted it more than Jordan. He made everyone better around him. Hell, he commanded them to be better. How good was Pippen without Jordan, was he a top 50 all time player? I don't think so.
Without Jordan ('93-'94), Pippen became the first player in NBA history to lead his team in scoring, rebouding, assists, blocks, and steals in the same season, a feat that has since been matched by KG and LeBron. In that same season, after losing the best player in the game, Pippen led the Bulls to 55 wins and the East's #3 seed. (IMHO, the '93-'94 season is the biggest reason people should NOT use the "6 rings" argument for Jordan. Yes, 6 rings is impressive, but those Bulls teams had some great talent, even without MJ.)
