McNutt Catches everything in OTA's

He could very well end up being very sure handed once he gets more experience. It’s not like he lacks the hand eye coordination. He gets the tough catches. It seems to be more of a problem with concentration lapses. With his attention to detail he’ll clean that up.

McNutt is just beginning scratch the surface on how good he will be as a receiver. What, he's been doing it for 2-3 years? He has a huge upside.

I will take the under for several reasons the main two is mike Vick and I'm still not convinced McNutt can get off press coverage

I agree with this. As good as he was in college, with proper coaching and exposure to a higher level of play he has the potential for a great NFL career.

If he ends up as the slot receiver getting off press coverage may not be as big an issue for 2 reasons.

1. He will be facing other teams 3rd corner or a safety
2. With Maclin and Jackson on the outside teams are going to be reluctant to press cover all 3 receivers. McNutt would be the natural one not to press as the safeties are going to be occupied helping over the top on the outside two receivers.

The big questions are does he actually win the 3rd receiver slot job which I think is completely unknown and will Mike Vick be patient enough to go through the progessions as McNutt will be at best the 3rd option.

I will take the over and double that three to six.

Nobody on Philly had 6 TD receptions last year. Philly already has three returning receivers with over 800 yards, a good catching tight end, and a good receiving back. Add in a mediocre QB, and I don't think Marvin gets a lot of touches next year.

I actually agree with you. I don't think he will get over 3 TD's for all the reasons bolded.

Uh, yeah. I'd take under 3. Don't see him getting 3 TDs this year.

Riley Cooper isn't just going to give up his spot. McNutt will probably be the 4th or 5th receiver initially. Eagles need a big physical receiver especially in the red zone, it is there for the taken Mcnutt or Cooper.

Btw, Cooper is 6'3 200+ lbs. and pretty good athlete as well.

Established players ahead of McNutt include:

DeSean Jackson-58 rec, 961yds
Jeremy Maclin-63 rec, 859yds
Jason Avant- 52rec, 679 yds
Brent Celek- 62 rec, 811yds
LeSean McCoy- 48 rec, 315yds

Cooper has two years experience, and he can barely see the field behind those 5.

Those are very good points. I will recant my earlier prediction and go with either a solid 3 or under. If no one had 6 td receptions last year, than McNutt will not have 6 td this year.

Hawk offense will miss McNutt a LOT. In the Philly offense, he probably won't matter a bit.

Avant prolly won't be with team come game time if Mcnutt continues looking like he has. High paid vets become expendable when late round draft picks impress. That's the NFL way now.

Mcnutt was a huge steal....im not sure ill ever forgive my bears

I could care less until they draft a Hawk. It has gotten ridiculous at how much they avoid Iowa especially when they have needs we can fill in the draft. A good example is lineman. They have been old for years and they tend to go through Free Agency with guys in their 30s rather then draft them.
