This 6'7 wing from Ohio who decommited from Rutgers is announcing his decision Wednesday. He recently started following Sherm Dillard and Christian Williams on Twitter. Another poster on another site claims he visited recently. He is a 2016 recruit with over 20 offers. Rutgers was his biggest one from what I could see. Anybody know if we are in the running? Not sure we need another wing but he is super athletic and would fit in nicely with Frans up tempo teams.

He visited and we are in the running. That's all I can say. He would like the rest confidential until he announces.

Nope. I don't know if he's picking us or which other schools he's considering. All I know is he visited and we're in consideration.

The only way it would make sense is if Jok isn't coming back and I don't think that would be the case. I think it's either a true PG, grad transfer or bank it.

I think the kid looks really good. But he will have to sit a year being a Rutgers de-commit. So he can't help us next season.

I wouldn't necessarily make that assumption. I don't see anywhere that Rutgers blocked him from any schools, and like what happened with Ben Brust when Lick was fired, he was eligible to play in the B1G the next year for Bo.

Looks like he has good vision, passes well, has a decent looking shot, moves well with the ball, and surprisingly he is long. I'd take him.

Oh ok. Which one's the winky face emoji again?

Believe what you will but that's all I know. He visited last week, he is considering us and he will announce tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1:30 pm CT at his high school. Still looking into it for more info but the kid is trying his best to keep things confidential. We'll see how it goes in the next 29 hours until he goes public.

LET ME BE CLEAR: I am not saying that this kid has the game that the person I am going to throw out had at the high school level, or that this kid will ever even sniff that level of play.

But just his body language, how he moves, seeing him use his length and body the way he does against smaller players....it reminds me of high school tape of Harrison Barnes. Again, he's not gonna be that good, he isn't THAT good...just mannerisms and style, Harrison instantly came to mind.

His length with his guard skills is impressive. He can shoot, has decent handles, is athletic and wingspan would play havoc in passing lanes. Good vision. This seems like the type of kid Fran has done a fantastic job developing. You take him if you can get him and next year, you let Williams and Bohannon learn through some lumps.

Let's see, his best offer to date prior to us has been Rutgers, we've offered him, he's visited IC, he's following Sherm and C. Williams on twitter......following the bread crumbs here I'd say we have a chance.

We get him and we become more athletic and have another guy who can shoot. I say go get him.

It would make sense to get him whether or not Jok is coming back. Is Iowa so well-stocked that we can't use another good athletic wing? No, we are not. Perimeter players right now are Jok, Bohannon, Williams, Moss, Ellingson and Baer (who is kind of a hybrid 3/4 man). Jok (and to some extent Baer) are the only proven commodities. Moss MIGHT be very good. Same with Williams. But we haven't seen enough of either to know for sure.

Incorrect. He never signed with Rutgers and is free to go wherever and play next year. He's a 2016 recruit.
