Love for weed has no negative consequences?

The way I look at it, the pot cost him. His talent level is hardly elite, but neither is the talent level of plenty of receivers who have had respectable careers in the league. He can't control his talent. What he could control were the choices he made. He chose to get involved in drugs. If he hadn't done that, he gets drafted and probably has a solid career as a slot receiver.

If you're going to say his talent cost him, then you have to believe that he was never getting drafted anyway, even without the baggage. That simply isn't the case.
Thats what I was saying before, if it cost him, that is not right. Like I said I know a sitting judge who got an OWI and is still sitting. Is that right? What about a lawyer or a person in office, if they get caught shoudnt it cost them atleast as much if not more than a college football player who smoked pot? I am not sure but wasnt that all he ended up being charged with? Yes it was dumb. I think the dumbest part was staying in the house he was in. But my point is if it cost DJK and it cost a lawyer and doctor that I know of, shouldnt it cost the people who know and make the law (cops and people in office) 10 times as much?? I was just trying to make people think about it a little.

The difference is that DJK is basically LOOKING for a job. He doesn't already HAVE one. If those people you talked about were to try and find another job, they'd likely face the same sort of situation that DJK is now. Employers are not keen on that sort of thing in their potential new hires.
