we need shooters who can make shots, we have shooters who miss. and yes we need a much better point guard, Cartwright makes bad, bad decisions.

Agree, but even playmakers need others to make plays. This is an embrassing exhibition of a bunch of guys afraid to shoot. At least Marble is being aggressive. McCabe...yikes.
 
Battle...............see there Cartwright, drive and hit the open man, not take it to the hoop where every player has 6 inches on you.
 
Sorry, was on road all day, then have to watch my boy all night. Too much going on. Watching game and on Twitter. I know it's not the same, but it just didn't work out.

Prob have one for UM.

Agreed. I think we know Gatens can consistently shoot well as long as he's planted w/o a hand in his face. If someone can draw his defender off him by penetrating, then he is that much better of a shooter and that then opens things up down low for guys like Basabe. We need someone like Pierce (minus legal issues).

Who's he going to pass it to? Teams know not to sag off of Gatens. He is really the only outside shooting threat we have on a consistent basis. May will typically catch the pass, make a fake shot and start to drive realizing he can't get anywhere and just bring it back out to reset.

You can rag on Cartwright all you want but his surrounding cast makes it tough for him to put up big time numbers in assists. He is forced to be more of a scorer and aggressor than his game really allows.

Really a pathetic effort in the 2nd half. Nobody capable of stepping up on this team and some dude buries a deep corner 3. Unreal.

Agreed. He's been a d-bag the entire game. Celebrating after getting tapped and making a layup. Dude, it's Iowa not Duke. Play the game and STFU.
