You people amaze me. This is a potent offensive team. Any win in Ames is fantastic. Step away from the edge...at the end of the year no one will say this one didn't count. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
It doesn't matter if the Hawks beat someone 99 to nothing somebody's always going to complain about something and think they could do a better job coaching the team. That's why they're not coaching.

Some people only come here to tear down Iowa. You never see them post something positive. We have 2 that post quite often. Pretending to be a Hawk fan but only posting negatives makes me think they're cyfan trolls. One always shows up in the game threads and one is a post game troll.

Does Urban Meyer retire again?
My guess is ISU gives OU a run for their money in Norman. Probably a 10 point game like last year.

Urban will be out next year. Loosing to Iowa, OU and Penn State in the same season will do it.

You caught me.

I thought the play calling on the offensive side of the ball was awesome. I do wish we didn't over throw every deep wide open receiver. But they did score 44 points for crimes sake.
After 5 years of GD, it's refreshing to even see us try to go deep multiple times. It's refreshing to see a passing scheme that has a chance to work in general. Teams are going to be less inclined to stack the box and we'll have a good chance to burn them if they do. Also I'm glad we're back to predetermined routes so the QB and WRs have a better chance to be on the same page. We're also attaching the middle of the field more. All great stuff. Now we just need to get the OL run blocking and the defense tackling.

I don't think I would call Iowa's offense bad after it got nearly 500 yards and 5 TDs. As for being out coached that's very subjective. And hard to argue that when Iowa won. Defensively, not Iowa's best game but they were up against some of the best receivers that Iowa will see all year.

Bingo. Even though BFz is still working out a few things... it's already an improvement from GDGD. He and Stanley will continue to develop chemistry.

Yep. The mark of very good, even great, Iowa teams is significant incremental improvement week over week. The leap the offense made from week 1 to week 2 is making me giddy, but the pass rush and secondary has me thinking we may have a rather pedestrian team. I also watched the other teams from the West yesterday and Minnesota and Nebraska both look like they will give Iowa fits. Not sure what to make of Wisconsin, but I assume they will be tough, too.

Agreed, and the offense stopped being predictable. I saw some improvement in play calling from the Wyoming game.

If I hear one more time how they had to stop the rivalry because the bad blood had gotten so bad...what a waste of breath. That was probably some douche in a position of power who felt Iowans needed to stand together and unite as one. Iowans don't belittle Iowans is the premise I believe. If the internet had been invented then (thanks Al Gore), then that douche who stopped the series could spend one minute on Cyfan and realized this school needs to be pummeled every year for their delusions. It's the only school I know that wins 11 games in 4 years and their fans think they are on the cusp of greatness. How about the greatness happens and you say, wow, that was a surprising year...if it ever happens that is. How about you shoot for 4 wins ISU? Take it nice and easy.
