LeVar to Michigan State

I was expecting to find Fry in a broken state when I logged on today. He is taking the loss of his golden boy KF replacement better than I expected. Thoughts and prayers are with you, Fry. :)

Woods was in third place to be the internal replacement for KF, which is highly unlikely to happen anyway, so this semi-lateral move makes sense if Woods wants to be a HC somewhere soon. If that is what he wants, then I wish him God's speed. He might have to drop down a level or two to get such a gig in the near term, but by all accounts he is a talented coach and deserves a shot.

He was a good recruiter, but timing wise, this was the best way it could happen. KF will be able to replace him as a recruiter and STs Coordinator and not rush that. On the field, I felt like the Special Teams were inconsistent this season and cost us in a few critical areas. Both kickers regressed this season. KW wasn't coached to do what he does, that is just how he was made.

KF needs to find a good replacement. He will.

If nothing else, I think we can all agree those additional responsibilities could be given to Seth Wallace and the Hawks' special teams wouldn't skip a beat. Look at the linebacking corp. He loses all-Americans and just reloads. He seems to recruit circles around the rest of the staff, develops players as well as anyone, and all while taking on the heavy responsibilities of associate Head Coach.
