This is KF's son-in-law. I would say 0% chance of him leaving while KF is still here. He is our GM and it sounds like he is pretty well thought of. Other schools have tried to hire him away.

In the NFL, usually the GM hires the coach and is his boss. Those roles are flipped in the college game. I would imagine the new coach will get to decide who the GM is.
