I voted YES. I am eternally optimistic with this team. It is a fantastic team that can beat anyone (or lose to anyone). I have thought NIT all year. But all of the sudden the NCAA is back on the radar.
If this team is told it could make the dance with 4 more wins, I see 4 more wins for this team. They are that confident and cocky.

If Wisconsin goes down then I'm in, if not, then I will drink heavily. I have always hated Wisconsin and the game tomorrow is an absolute must win. We have to win, that's all. The boys are loose, they are playing good ball, they believe, and they are out to prove it. The refs will find a way to f*ck'em if close. I always blame the refs against Iowa. I think they have Fran envy.....whatever the hell that is, no clue

o_O ... nerp.

After further consideration, the correct answer is ... YES ... next year ... and the correct answer in 2019, is ...
not only will they make it but they will be a 3 seed and play the 2nd weekend!!

haha, I love it! Jeez a fellow Hawk fan being optimistic...imagine that!

With a grand total of 2 road wins this season, I don't see it. But then again, that's why they play the games. Go Hawks!

I hope they do, but realistically I don't think they do unless they win the BTT. MAYBE if they win out and make the championship game, but I just think we have too far to climb to not win the BTT.

If we win 4 more and lose to a quality team on Saturday of the BTT then we have an outside shot if everything falls just right IMO. Win 5 more and things get more realistic/interesting. My personal preference is to win the next 6.

I am with NEIChawk, beat Wisconsin and I am all in. Right now my head is saying NIT, my heart is saying NCAA.

Beat Indiana and we are IN.....

Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt.....

The Hawks have captured the attention of the basketball world with their play this season, starting with the Michigan win at Carver and the effort at Nebraska. Team that most thought would have a difficult time winning ONE game in the BIg......

Seven freshman

Four sophomores

One junior with limited experience

And Peter Jok

Finished tied for fourth place in the Big,.....

Having a 7 seed in the tournament is just a seed number. We finished tied at Number Four in the Big Ten Conference.....

Had a game stolen at MInneapolis that the basketball powers that be, certainly noticed.....

Shame on those MFers if we beat Indiana and lose a close game to the badgers and we don't make, at least, a Play-in game.....

Shameless, Unrepentant Homer.....

You are half right in your thinking....that is the kind of reasoning the committee looks to use for shoehorning a team in that they "really want in".....Iowa does not fit that mold unfortunately.

What really needs to happen is for Illinois to lose....am I wrong here?

I don't know if they will make the NCAA tournament, but I think a more pertinent question 'is this years team better than last years team'. Last years team made it, but they were more experienced. I wouldn't bet against this years team being a little better than last years team.

IL is of no concern as long as we take care of Biz. They finished two games back of the Hawks and aren't going to be selected over Iowa, all other things being equal.
