KIRK THE DRAGON SLAYER

Bizarre is definitely correct. They didn't win or lose two in a row all season. Starting with the aforementioned loss at Hawaii, their season went L-W-L-W-T-W-T-W-L-W-T-W-L. There were some gut wrenchers in there. We were leading Colorado 21-17 and driving when we fumbled and the Buffs drove the length of the field and scored with about a minute left, just to name one example..

Yeah and hawks fumbled late at the buffs 2-3 yard line, gut wrencher is right.

I would take HF over KF because HF knew how to get great assistants and recruiters which helps you get past a few years with a lesser team. I would think HF was a much better closer on a recruit than KF. HF had a more aggressive, fun offense to watch and let his Dee coaches be aggressive (they got off the field and didnt give up lots of third down conversions).

I'm glad that we both think the HOF is meaningless. ;)

Nope. Halls aren't meaningless at all, just pointing out that your reasoning for why Kirk going into it would be meaningless is not really important. Because there are a couple of bad apples who get into Halls doesn't or shouldn't degrade the accomplishments of those who are inducted.

Since you didn't respond to my point about Kirk leading Iowa to five top ten finishes, I'll assume you have conceded me the point.

You had a point?

Absolutely

You misunderstood mine.... But seriously though, child abuse is not a laughing matter.

Well of course it isn't. Neither is racism, wife-beating and drug addiction. Was just stating people who do those kind of things can still make HOFs but that shouldn't diminish the accomplishments of another person who makes it.

Whats the point of the post? To point out some good coaches he has beaten in his career or that Kirk still has not won a national title... because that's all I see when reading that.
