Jirehl Brock Talks About Final Five, Visits, Upcoming Decision

ROFLMFAO! I've heard that ISU sources are claiming they're in the driver seat for Brock. Wouldn't that be funny?

Hey, Homes, LOL. Yep.

I heard a crystal ball went to the Cyclones. And they picked up the Hall kid from Wichita. He’s also up to 4 star.

I think they pulled the plug on Brock too soon, as this is one guy I think that Iowa will wish they had on their roster.
Only if Sargent flops and or Goodson doesn't come. I REALLY like the Goodson kid. He looks like a Wadley 2.0 type of player. He's of similar skillset and already over 190. Which Wadley struggled 4 yrs to even get up to. We can't get/take all the RBs out there. But I have confidence the backs we have/might get instead will do more than adequate.

All I'm saying is the truth is out there. :)

Holy shit! You found something with his screen name on it....LMAO. That is true magic.

Sorry Dean, but you can't even be mad at that. Just got to tip your cap and say well played.

It will be interesting to see if they hold onto both if bigger schools come calling.

They also picked up Breece Hall, another guy Iowa offered, hosted on a visit and then backed away from.

Impressive RB haul for ISU.

Skill position recruiting has never been a problem for them. It’s the trenches that they’ve rarely been able to get right (both sides)....which is why they continue to struggle...

I like Goodson just as much as Brock, but getting both sure would have been nice. I still can't believe we turned down a 4 star RB.

I'd agree and think they are improving in those areas. We'll see where it goes from here.

i'll say it again, kirk needs to watch out for kNU, ISU and rowboat U. young coaches who have momentum. we can't remain the old stodgy iowa. and we can't close the door in the face of 4* rbs. Eno Brock.

Iowa got the RB they wanted in Goodson.

kNU will be improved and will get back to at least Pelini levels. That is pretty inevitable though, as they recruit at a top 25 level and only bad coaches can't win with the talent they will always be able to get. Not worried about Rowboat U or ISU. If Campbell has another decent year, he gone, if he sags back to ISU historic levels, he losses all momentum.

you're probably right about campbell. however, if he does start winning, including beating iowa, maybe he stays another contract. i think he's from Ohio, right? urban ain't going anywhere soon. so maybe campbell is content until urban leaves.

rowboat u? well, they're having a pretty good recruiting cycle. we make fun of them, but i actually see some buzz growing there.

Fleck isn't as good of coach as Jerry Kill. Fleck didn't take over ISU like Campbell did. He took over a program that had gone to 5 straight bowl games. He might get it back to Kill's level, but I doubt he ever exceeds what Kill did.

They're having a comparable recruiting cycle to Iowa. Honestly, they should recruit better than us given that they're in Minneapolis, and have no in-state competition. Fleck won't be long for Minnesota if they have any success. I believe he will absolutely jump at the first big name opportunity that arises (if one does).

And the running back they have now isn't bad either. He made iowas defense look like fools.

Like fools? That's a bit of an overstatement. Montgomery had a nice game, but not really dominant. Now Christian McCaffery made us look like fools.

Matt Campbell will never be the coach of OSU. At least not straight from ISU to OSU. Not even if he took them to the playoffs.
