Every thread on here turns into a bash coach Lickliter thread. I am a part of it, because I try to defend him, but it is just disgusting and downright stupid!!! Nobody reads the entire post above that they are responding to and they just post based on their personal agenda. I am probably guilty of this too!!! But it is stupid! I waste alot of time on here typing the same thing over and over and over and over again and sometimes I wonder why??? I think I have more important things to do, but I guess I am just passionate about Iowa basketball. We all want a winning program, but we just have different ways of getting there. Something has to give??? At least I have the SB coming up shortly to divert my attention!!!

I haven't bashed TL. I have said that if we were willing to give Alford 9 years we can at the very least give TL 5, which is how many I think it will take for him to get his system in place. I hate what Iowa basketball has become but I'm not willing to make Coach Lick the poster child for everything wrong with it. I believe the next two seasons will give us a better reading on the TL era.

I hate what Iowa basketball has become but I'm not willing to make Coach Lick the poster child for everything wrong with it. I believe the next two seasons will give us a better reading on the TL era.

I have been saying this all along and I think Iowa should be in the NCAA at the end of year 5. I don't think that would happen with a change at the end of this year!

I am sure Lick is very thankful for your support but he is a grown man and should be able to stand on his own legs without having to be propped up.

WHy would it take 5 years to get a system in place when the players only have 4 years to play? If it takes 5 years for people to learn the system I'm guessing its never going to work.

I have my eyes wide open and I'm with forevehawk. It's people like you that bring all the negative stuff around. Don't watch the games if your hell bent on talking smack about the coach, the program or the players. I would love to see more wins but I'm not going to run around and post crap abiout the program that can only hurt it. I'm sure you were one of the fans calling for KF head a couple years ago and when he started out to. Would you be man enough to stand in front of the current players and coaches and spew your evil venom?

As much as some get tired of the questioning, there are others that tire of hearing about how great things will be in a couple of years. Non stop excuses does not erase the record of the Iowa BB team in the past three season.

Some people are half empty kind of guys and the other are half full kind of guys. The other side will always say they are tired of hearing the other side. There is no right or wrong it is all opinion. People just have to respect each others opinions and not get so mad when someone disagrees with them.

I am guilty of being a pessimist more often than not but in all facets of my life which is just the way I am inspite of being a damn nice guy : )

They are both old news but the nagative nancies are the ones starting threads full of negative crap so you get people like me that are on the other side of the fence. Stop the bashing, stop making excuses and support the team, that would be a noble idea instead of the infighting that constanly goes on. Tell me how Lisa Bluder takes a number of freshmen and younger players and gets them to play as they are? SO many injuries, players out, and yet its not taking years to learn the "system", they are very competitive and are even winning games. How is it? Yet, with Prof Lickliter, the system take years, and wins are rare, and he actually has most all his team at his disposal and some have been in it three years, whats the deal? Can he not teach it? Its not the players is it(it seems to be Lickliter's reasoning)? Why the inequity in results? Why the tolerance for failure with Lickliter?

I remember the talk when Lick was hired. Jon, Stormin and many others were not predicting it to take 5 years. I'm sorry Forever I just don't beleive 3 years ago in 2007 you were saying yeah Lick will have us in the NCAA in 2012. Please I'm not buying that.

You hired a coach and you give him 5 years and over 5 millions dollars to get you to the NCAA Tourny. Wow!!! No logical fan thinks this way.

Doesn't Lickliter only have one player who has been in the program for three years in Cole. Many of you forget how young this team is and how many players have left the program! OK, blame that on on Lick again, because we haven't had that hate fest for a while!!!
