Dear God. Lamb was a freaking walk on and Railey wasn't a transfer. Nice try everybody.
Funny thing is 3 of fred's transfers have got in trouble at their previous school:
White, Allen, and Lucious. And they all stayed out of trouble.
Lamb was a walk-on trying to make that team, that didn't by the time he got in trouble.
Fred has also now shown the ability to recruit incoming freshman.
Try harder next time '33.
It's weird that Fred had him listed on the roster all season if he didn't make the team. I didn't think they listed people who had tried out but failed to make the team on the official roster.
He was on the team briefly, excuse me that I was wrong to an extent... He was not sitting in Hilton with the other transfers that long.
And I like how thats the only part you responded to. He was hardly involved with the team by the time he got in trouble.
I'll await your response to the fact Freddy has been recruiting freshman as well. Or the fact none of the transfers have gotten in trouble here.
Didn't Booker get into trouble recently. Why do ISU fans bring up Hubbard like it's comparable? He didn't even practice with the team, did he?

Oops sorry Mcgee.
Because the staff recruited Hubbard knowing full well his past history? I honestly don't have a problem with recruiting Hubbard - I hope the kid gets it together and gets a degree. I'm all for second chances. That said the kid aided a violent, invasive crime. This is where the glass houses/stones convo can happen.
Yup, providing alcohol to a minor.
Very well aware what Hubbard did quite awhile ago, I'm simply asking why ISU fans think comparing a guy Iowa "recruited", and never actually played for Iowa, to players that come in and actually play for ISU, and guide them to NCAA appearances, is apples to apples.
Hubbard came to campus did he not? Kind of goes past the recruiting aspect, when he's actually in Iowa City, does it not?
Thats why it's brought up.
So coming to Campus by 1 recruit with past problems, and not playing for our team, while leaving within the first month; is the same as recruiting now 4 players (White, Jones, Lucious, and Allen) who had past problems at their previous schools, while playing a complete season and leading their team to an NCAA tournament appearance? This is apples to apples? Really Wood? Your program has been drastically improved by these individuals, ours has not.Hubbard came to campus did he not?
