Isaiah Moss Commits to Iowa

Not at all brother good land for you guys congrats. Just thought id rum that question by dean though. And we signed a four star point guard last year Clayton custer to answer your question. The year before that we signed matt Thomas and monte morris. Both four stars as well. Not sure where that 2 year thing came from but whatever helps ya sleep at night.

I'm not sure why you keep beating this dead horse. Any idiot knows that a 5 PPG scorer isn't a "consistent scorer". JFC man, just admit you were completely wrong about how much Matt Thomas was gonna contribut his FR year and move on.

Thomas averaged 2 ppg over the last 10 games, and didn't even score in four of those games. Consistent scorer LOL

Just cause a kid isn't a consistent scorer one year, that doesn't mean he won't be in the following years. Heck see Devyn Marble. Kid came in, and wasn't a consistent scorer his FR year, but he was his So, Jr, and Sr years.

Freddie understands these things, and that is why he wanted Moss. Freddie, unlike you understands what a "consistent" scorer is......and it ain't 5 PPG. Like I keep trying to tell you though, players can imporve and a once non consistent scorer can become one in later years.

Tough break though losing out on another recruit. I'm sure Fred will do well in the transfer market and will keep the program good shape.

Ahhhh right just thought I'd ask. Yeah I'm sure the iowa state program and Fred Hoiberg will survive losing out on a 3 star 5 PPG scorer that he tried to recruit for a month. Congrats thought big win not trying to hijack the thread you guys enjoy the discussion and best of luck to this kid.

Not to change the subject but since for some reason you are on this board somehow??? and you seem to know everything why would a basketball team put up a football score on the basketball arena scoreboard for BASKETBALL media day? What is the arrogant answer on that smarty?
How is this guy on here anyway?

Look like a nice player, Welcome to Iowa!

The only reason you showed up is to hijack the thread, otherwise you wouldn't have posted what you did. You are a huge troll, that is all, but the problems is that you are just a dumb troll as well. Nobody ever said ISU or Iowa, or Auburn wouldn't survive losing out on him, so go troll the Clown boards with your Thomas had a "consistent season scoring" bull***.

Wow what a troll, and not even a very smart one at that.

I guess I don't see the relevance of how many points he averaged a year ago when it's pretty clear from when he received his offers that he just recently blew up.

Cyfans are coming over in droves. If the bans came as easy here as they do at cyfan their stays would be very short. I'm not surprised they're here. There is nothing to live for over at cyfan with the exception of CPR taking the football team to new heights, only 5 straight losing seasons. They now realize they've experienced the best that Fred has to offer and basketball is all downhill from here. They're here to try to drain some life from us before they're put in a padded room on suicide watch.

Moss had transfered in to that school last year and was/is teamates with DJ Williams and Ed Morrow... So he deferred to them alot. The kid is clearly an athlete has a handle and his better days are ahead of him. Fran was in on that Ullis kid long before most were too. Fran has a pretty good eye for kids potential. High school stats aren't the first thing to look at. The Kentuckys of the world are going to get the pick of the litter kids year in and year out. So Fran has to get in on kids earlier and hope for 2 things. 1 that they do pan out and develop. And 2 that the relationship he started early with them gets them to come.

With guys like Moss coming off the bench, how many D-1 schools would Simeon beat? They would certainly be better than some of the real low level schools that we play non-conf and I would think they could give plenty of mid-majors a decent run too.

Doc ya know I love your passion for hating the Clowns......BUT I have to disagree with you about Fred's program crashing. He's got it clicking and they aren't going downhill with him at the helm. Hes a quality coach and he has proven that over the last 4 years.

Agreed. And honestly I really don't mind them having a good team. It makes for a fun in-state rivalry. I just hope, as a Hawkeye fan, that they don't continue to get better. If they stay right where they are at I'm confident the Hawks have a chance to equal or surpass them. Hell they competed very well with a damn good Cyclone team last year, and beat them the year before. Fran has continued to improve the Hawkeye program each and every year he's been at the helm. If he continues to move it forward like he has then it won't be long before the Hawks are the better team as long as the Cyclones stay right where they are at (which I think they will). I can't see them becoming a consistent power house program like KU, and that's really the next level up.

Jon can you let deanvogs know that his account's been hacked.

I am liking the looks of this class. Well done Fran and staff ... Lots of talent in the Illinois ... Chicago area so nice to see us opening some of the doors back up ... Looks like a great addition ...

Dean I gotta ask though man your boy came off the bench for his highschool squad this year and averaged less than 5 per? Getting your kicks over a kid who isn't a "consistent" scorer for a highschool squad.

He came off the bench as a junior. He has really improved over the summer in AAU and club basketball. He will be a starter for the Simeon team that is ranked #12 in the nation... a starter they are relying upon to score.

Instead of cheersing to the recruit they just signed all iowa fans are doing is bragging about beating out hoiberg for a recruit fred literally offered two weeks ago. Fran has been after this kid for two years. Speaks volumes about the state of the two programs. I'm not gonna sit here and say Fred didn't want the kid because clearly we offered. Honestly though I for one am a bit relieved. With the roll Fred is on in the transfer market and the promising years ahead we may want to save our scholarships for immediate impact players. Who knows maybe this kid will end up being a star time will tell. I'd rather save it for a proven commodity though (Royce white. Clyburn. Kane. Bdj)

Just posting some of the butthurt going on at cyfan. Their insecurity about Iowa and their little brother self image runs deep every time something positive about Iowa comes up. For all the success they've had in basketball they can't get past the inferiority of being cyfans.

You do realize that all these comments are coming out of Ames, Iowa, the cradle of college basketball!

Hey anyonebutyou. When you unleashed the coward in you and down voted where I posted the butt hurt from cyfans were you down voting me or your sisters at cyfan for their constant excuses of why they're such losers. A mentality you can certainly identify with.
