Isaiah Moss Commits to Iowa

Instead of cheersing to the recruit they just signed all iowa fans are doing is bragging about beating out hoiberg for a recruit fred literally offered two weeks ago. Fran has been after this kid for two years. Speaks volumes about the state of the two programs. I'm not gonna sit here and say Fred didn't want the kid because clearly we offered. Honestly though I for one am a bit relieved. With the roll Fred is on in the transfer market and the promising years ahead we may want to save our scholarships for immediate impact players. Who knows maybe this kid will end up being a star time will tell. I'd rather save it for a proven commodity though (Royce white. Clyburn. Kane. Bdj)

Just posting some of the butthurt going on at cyfan. Their insecurity about Iowa and their little brother self image runs deep every time something positive about Iowa comes up. For all the success they've had in basketball they can't get past the inferiority of being cyfans.

Iowa beats Hoiberg, Bruce Pearl and Pitt to get the kid..Iowa was the first school to start showing interest in him, back when he was a soph.

It's amazing that Pearl spends any time recruiting Chicago. I'd think he would be persona non grata, even after all this time.

Quick first step, good balance, deceptive change of pace, really good body control, long arms, smooth shot, very good body control. Yeah, Moss, Fleming, Hutton, Wagner...? These 4 plus a possible 5th, very, very good class. After what we saw today from Uhl, this is one flipping athletic perimeter team. But, the other poster got it...we need a big to round this out. Could it be the Okwarabizie kid?

Totally agree, Arvada, Isiah is catquick, strikes like a cobra and is a special player who is custom made for Fran's style of play.....

Things are looking very positive for the Hawkeye Basketball team. Truly remarkable job by Fran and the Staff.....

HAHAHA.....this one is pretty funny. Fran literally offered him 1 or 2 days before Da Mayor. It isn't Fran's fault that Freddie couldn't see the kids talent and start talking to him earlier.

Typical cyfans. Fred can't spot high school talent. He thinks transfers are like free agents in the NBA. Throw some money at them and they will come. Cyfans are saying they only started to recruit Moss a month ago. If they only started a month ago and then offered a scholarship so quick it looks like Fred wants to ride the coat tails of Fran. Little brother will always be little brother.

Congrats on the recruit. He may be a diamond in the rough for you guys.

Another nice get for Fran and the program. Now just need to finish the class off with a post player to help replace the loss of White and Olaseni. One would think that the early playing time available would attract a few front court players.

Dean I gotta ask though man your boy came off the bench for his highschool squad this year and averaged less than 5 per? Getting your kicks over a kid who isn't a "consistent" scorer for a highschool squad.

Lol somebody's butt hurt that Fred is completely striking out high schoolers. What's it been like 2 years since he got one to commit? Fran just owned Fred here.

Holy ****. Maybe it's just an illusion created by the quick mash cuts of the video, but this kid looks like a game-changing player. Plus, it can't hurt to open a pipeline to a program like Simeon.

Not at all brother good land for you guys congrats. Just thought id rum that question by dean though. And we signed a four star point guard last year Clayton custer to answer your question. The year before that we signed matt Thomas and monte morris. Both four stars as well. Not sure where that 2 year thing came from but whatever helps ya sleep at night.

Just cause a kid isn't a consistent scorer one year, that doesn't mean he won't be in the following years. Heck see Devyn Marble. Kid came in, and wasn't a consistent scorer his FR year, but he was his So, Jr, and Sr years.

Freddie understands these things, and that is why he wanted Moss. Freddie, unlike you understands what a "consistent" scorer is......and it ain't 5 PPG. Like I keep trying to tell you though, players can imporve and a once non consistent scorer can become one in later years.

Tough break though losing out on another recruit. I'm sure Fred will do well in the transfer market and will keep the program good shape.

Clayton Custer committed in November 2012, so yep I was right, two years without landing a single high school recruit.
