I wish I knew where to find stats that go back to when Hayden Fry took over. NCAA's archive only goes back to 1984.

Data from that era can only be fully appreciated using the tools from that era to analyze it. A snack, a soda, several tapes and a Walkman are also required. At least that's what I did in the mid 80s.

That BF hire was a good one. I said it was a pathetic hire from the beginning. When a sane person looks at those offensive stats, they would think that KF should go out and hire an OC with a proven resume, the best OC money could buy, but no not here at Iowa. He does the unthinkable. Brings in an OC that has never coached an Oline, makes him the Oline coach. Promotes his son, who really wasn't a good Oline coach, to be the OC having never called a play before. What could possibly go wrong?

Unreal. We have to remember O'Keefe's numbers were also skewed by a reprehensible talent level when he got to town and a substantial number of run-ins with AIRBHG. Brian has not had to confront those sorts of issues.

None if it is good. Woes in rushing offense seems to have a direct connection to worse in scoring offense. Even more so in Ferentz ran strategy. Oline issues... with an "oline" OC and HC... crazy.

With KOK level offensive production....holy crap where would we be ... 9-0 and playing for CFP.

Good stuff TK.... keep this rolling... paints a solid picture. An ugly, frustrating one...but alas...

Yep. With KOK level production, this Iowa-Minnesota game would be for all the marbles in the West this year. Winner goes to Indy to lose to OSU and then Pasadena as the runner up prize. But instead, a bunch of morons wanted to swing for the fences with a flashy o-coordinator named Greg Davis and here we are.
