Iowa State vs. Oklahoma State going to Triple OT

I agree with 7 games were ranked. Oklahoma wasn't ranked the first game until they upset ISU then they sneaked into the rankings. 8 tough games no doubt though. ISU is doing what I've been waiting for the Hawks to do, close out games against tough teams.

Cyclones actually should of had it wrapped up in regulation. They were up 4 with about a minute left. Should of been 5 but they missed a late FT. To their credit though, they did something the Hawks haven't been able to do in their last 32 attempts. That's tie up a game with the last possession like they did in OT.

Cyclone fans and media saying this a huge win. The same people degraded Iowa's win at Ohio State though. Maybe it's huge win in that they've never won in Stillwater but it's asinine when the same people who talk up this win but don't with Iowa's win. Last time I checked (tonight), Ohio State has a better record overall and shares a same conference record with Ok State. Both OSUs are underachieving.

At least Iowa's win was won in regulation by double digits in front of more than 3.000 fans too.

From a raw numbers standpoint there isn't that much difference. However it was a very exciting triple overtime win.

As an impartial viewer of the game, it was exciting to watch. If you're a fan, the win was great. It's a gut punch when you lose a game like that.

Just being a fan of the game of basketball (and especially when you do not have a vested interest) these games are fun because of the shots, the athleticism, the emotion....the smiles and the pain.....Nice win by ISU...

Have to be honest, the first thing I did was look at the time of your post. I thought for sure it was going to be something like 3:19 am. With an 8:01am time can you tell me if it was an all nighter or did you just start early?

Haha. 3 pages of post that are rational, not bashing ISU. Try getting 2 post in a row on CF that don't trash the BIG or Iowa, and it would be the first time in history. There is an amazing lack of BB knowledge on that board. I'm trying my best to bring some knowledge there, but it is shouted down when I drop basic common knowledge. I thought since ISU is a BB school, they would know something about BB.....unfortunately I was completely wrong about this.
