So ISUs win resulted in IOWAs record based computer rankings to rise.
Conversely, a big road win nudged ISU ahead od IOWA in the cumulative computer ranks, now at 10 and 11 respectively.
Interesting how the computers see these 2 much higher than the pollsters and the record based traditional braketology experts (who see them as 4-5 seeds)

Not really, the bias towards non-bluebloods and anyone not within two hours of the eastern shore of the US has always been terrible.

Awesome. Glad I could help...I'm sure some Iowa fans were pulling for you guys last night, I however was not one of them. I can understand your frustration with me posting that but not everyone on here is going to pat you guys on the back when you win a big overtime game. There are some die hard cyclone hatin' fans on here and I sadly fall under that category...Sorry to offend good sir...I'll end this the way it should be ended...Go Hawks, F State.

The thing that amazed me most about the game... the little guard who hadn't played much and had zero free throws drained two key FTs in the 3rd OT. Can't see Gesell doing that.
Agreed. MG is not a scrub like Long. No way he would have barely played all night.
in the ISU/Iowa matchup, Long played 27 min and scored 13 points. MG played 26 min and scored 11 points.

In conference play, Long averages 3.4 points and shoots 23% from 3. He's a scrub.
You also left out that MG had 2 boards, 6 assists and 0 TO's against ISU. Long had 1 rebound, 0 assists and 2 TO's.

Who cares about that game, it was an eternity ago BB wise, and will not affect either team going forward.
Huh? Every one of Iowa's starters and four guys off the bench have scored more than 3.4 points per game in conference play.
Also - plz post Long's FT stats from that game. TIA.
I wasn't pulling for Iowa state, but they did play a tough game. They were pretty lucky to win, but they kept coming at the other team.

Both teams spit the bit several times. ISU did at the end of regulation, at the end of the 1st overtime, and toward the end of the 3rd OT when they turned it over to OSU with like 2 seconds left. Lucky for ISU that OSU spit the bit at the end of the 2nd OT, and the end of the 3rd OT by missing winning shots.
