I think they have the potential to play better. They have had some pretty remarkable halves this season and have proven that they can be scary good. My problem with ISU is sometimes they are just lazy and play street ball. If they can stay focused and play defense for an entire game, they sky is the limit. I just don't if their personalities allow them to do that. We will know soon.

I think we had this conversation earlier in the year. ISU is much the same, but they are not anywhere near as mentally tough this year. This heads up play by Niang NEVER happens with Kane and Ejim on the floor.

They still ended up with a better record in a better conference. Would Ejim or Kane have been passing the ball in on that play? If not then it could have definitely happened.

I heard the Big 12 was a better conference in football this year too. How'd that work out?


College football teams and their conferences are judged by how they do in their bowl games. Round 1 goes to the Big 10 in football.

BB Teams are judged by how they do in the NCAA tourney. We'll see how it turns out. Big 12 is definitely the favorite so the pressure is on them to perform!

Overall, yes, but I would argue that last year Kansas had a better team than any current Big 12 team. Wiggins, Embiid, Ellis, etc? Those guys then lost to Stanford...

The top of the top is not as good this year in the Big 12. Kansas was NOT a great team this year and they outright won the conference. Not saying one of the teams cant go on a run this year, but that Kansas team last year had a lot better shot of making the final four than any big 12 team does this year.

If I'm being objective... He could be as good as B.J. when all is said and done. And I did see B.J. play all 4 years. And both my wife and I consider B.J. to be our all time favorite Hawk. So that's pretty high praise for Morris. But I'm just talking talent. B.J.'s character was off the charts.

Would love nothing more than to see the current projections hold up and Iowa somehow finds a way to win a tournament game. Iowa/KU would be some serious entertainment. Frank Mason would eat Gessels lunch. Oubre Ellis Selden Alexander all McDonald's all americans. Greene is a pure shooter. Please make this matchup happen. I'd pay good money to see Jok try to get to the rim with oubre on him haha.

I think McKay gives them something they didn't have last year. When Dejean-Jones is playing well I think they are better. When he's not playing well I think they are about the same.

By Alexander do you mean the Cliff Alexander who is currently suspended for major rules violations and might not play college basketball ever again? Is that the Alexander you're talking about?

I remember comments like those years ago in the Tom Davis era. Iowa scheduled Kansas, home and home in back to back years. ISU fans are still sick about the back to back years that pretty average Iowa teams kicked the JayHawk's ***. Kansas is really not that good this year. In fact are over rated most years. Probably still better than Iowa this year but not by much.

Yeah, Mr. Davis's and the hawks win at Allen Fieldhouse to break KU's something like 88 game non-conf home winning streak was just beautiful, especially since ISU couldnt ever win there.

The other great part of it was Mr. Davis sticking it to Bowlsby who had been a good AD until he left Davis out to dry. We loved watching that team.

Nobody in the world is taking a bet from someone who doesn't pay and who has the character somewhat equal to Royce White. As for BIG teams they are clearly better than the over rated, middle of the road big 12 teams. As usual the tournament will prove it. Congrats on all the FF talk over at cyfan. When was it the last time a big 12 team made the FF?

Like TCU. What's their conference record. Big 12 records are inflated because they played non conference teams that would struggle to compete against a 5th grade girls team.
