Iowa offers JUCO PG?

I still don't understand how people don't get this correct. Hubbard was told to leave, and this kid was a gangbanger. Look, I trust Fran evaluating talent as well, but it would be nice to avoid this type of player with the Hubbard incident being so recent.

ooohhh, you used a scary city term to describe a kid you do not know..you are so cool and tough...were you in a gang? When you complete your due diligence on the kid, file a report.

You are self destructing...

I was informed that this kid doesn't have a Hawkeye offer either. While were talking about kids that don't have offers, Ray Lee never had one either.

Seems that sometimes kids mistake interest, inquiries and letters for offers. If you don't hear it from the head coach himself, often times you don't have a commitable offer.

Is Iowa really seeking another pg for 2012? Seems like Bell and Robinson both were ''sorta'' offered, but then not? Who are they serious about?

Right now it seems like the only recruits they are really serious about are the ones that have already committed and Adam Woodbury. It feels like much of the focus is on Woodbury and also turning toward the 2013 and 2014 classes.

Frankly, I'd be happy with a 2012 class of Woodbury, Gessel, Meyer and Ingram. If they pick up one more good player it'd be cool too, but I wouldn't mind seeing a couple scholarships held over for 2013.

That is my sense also. I would be pleased with that recruiting haul also, but have a nagging feeling that we would be very vulnerable in the backcourt next year with only Gesell,Oglesby,Ingram,Marble as real guard-types,and that is stretching it with Devyn, who seems better below the free throw line to me. I do want to avoid taking a big step backward in Fran's 3rd year after losing Bryce and Matt.
