Why in the **** can I never see the hawks play, I am starting to hate the fact the games are on the Big Ten Network. I don't have the BTN because when I did have it the games I wanted to watch were on ESPN! I guess I'll just watch Kent State at Buffalo or Bradley at Creighton on ESPN3. What a shame.

The project is in progress and is going to take years to rebuild. I don't know what we can sell to recruits because we are not an attractive program right now. We are in dire need of players.

Your logic is flawed. Games, most games, not on ESPN or other networks, are on BTN. And that's most of the games. You want Ia on TV, get BTN.

Ya probably not, but the fact I've only seen my favorite school play once is terrible. I don't even remember what the new guys look like.

Why do we make these fundamental mistakes such as travels, catching the ball, passing the ball to our own players, making point blank shots? These are plays a division 1 athlete should execute in their sleep.

I figured someone would say that. It's just that I've never had to pay to see them on TV before. Remember the CBS days?

I can remember when we had no cable (actually, when we had no TV) , and when it first came in I couldn't understand why anyone would pay for TV. Times change. BTN is cheap, considering what we get from it.

Can't these games be had online?

Mediocre basketball, poorly produced highlight shows, agonizing campus programming, and Ro-Tel commercials?

im sure the university will give up its $20mm annual check to make you happy.

plus, what cave do you live in where you cant get the BTN?

Times have changed. If they are indeed your favorite team or if it was that important to you, you'd have the BTN.

Yep. I'm anti-streaming and wasn't real happy during the non-conference, but I do make sure that I at least have the BTN, otherwise I would get to watch almost none of the games at all.

I'm not sure where the OP lives, and why he doesn't have the BTN, but if your local cable provider doesn't carry it, you can always switch to Directv, Dish, Verizon Fios, etc. I'm with Fios, and I know that Directv has it as well. Can't speak for sure on Dish, but I thought they had it as well. Don't know why you wouldn't be able to at least get satellite, even if you live out in the boonies.

I love this argument, it is 2011, nothing is the same as it was in the 1980's anymore, times are changing and people just need to get over it and accept that fact, you're not paying 89 cents for a gallon of gas anymore either. Remember those days?

So I understand correctly, you bought BTN and Iowa was ESPN, so that upset you? What, were you paying an additional monthly for BTN? I doubt that. So they were on ESPN or BTN, who cares? You have to pay for cable or satellite to see them regardless. Not really much more to talk about.

and it's all the people like you that enable them to rip the rest of us off
