IOWA-Ball State football thread.

This picture is SO Jake Rudock.
Throwing to flats when there are WIDE open tight ends in the middle of the field.

Wow!!!!! I may be in the minority, but i am comfortable calling him a game manager.

I don't think this Iowa team is bad at all. But they are playing so tight, so pointlessly conservative, that they end up running and throwing the ball right into the eye of the opposing D. Ken O'Keefe would have had 28 at halftime with this offense. Play-action, play-action, play-action.

At this point I can't help but think that it's Ruddock and not the play calling. He's missed multiple open receivers downfield this game.

How can we not at least run the ball for ****? I thought this o-line was supposed to be good.

Might help if Iowa had any kind of a vertical threat. Seems like 99% of the offense is run within 5 yards of the LOS. Doesn't really do a lot to create space for our RB's to work when the opponent knows they don't have to worry much about the big play. There's nothing to keep them honest.

It's not the scheme I don't think....its the QB...

I can not believe that they can go backwards so far.

1 quarter more and I will conclude that - this is what we got this year.

Green Bay didn't use 1/3 of the field against Seattle, as Green Bay didn't attempt a pass towards Richard Sherman.
It seems like the Iowa offense would feel that an Arena Football field is too big, from what they have been using in the first half.

If there was ever a time to bench the starting QB this is it. CJ should start the second half and be left in there win or loss. ENOUGH of this SH!T.

It seems that way because that's all Jake is doing! Plenty of open intermediate and deep open receivers. Jake just refuses to pull the trigger. That putrid half was on him, not GD.

Seems like some people still haven't gotten used to our Horizontal O.

It's how we do things, people. Get used to it.

Favorable? lol FCS power in week one, MAC power in week two, an ISU team that just got screwed out of beating K-State and had a longer win streak than Alabama as recently as eight days ago, plus on the road against an undefeated Pitt? Not looking too favorable to me, that's a gauntlet.
A gauntlet?!?! Yeah, a cupcake gauntlet.
