The whole pay a bunch of money to get in somewhere, only to get price gouged for food and drink the entire time you are there is ruining everything. If you paid good money to get it, it should be of some sort of benefit to you being there versus somebody on the outside of the event. Right now its the total opposite. Stay home where its warm, drink your cheap store-bought case of beer, and enjoy whatever food you want at retail price. Or, go to the game, get charged a whole bunch to get in, endure the weather and the stiff seating, and spend a fortune on food and *non*-alcoholic drinks.
I read this article a while back about the Atlanta Falcon's fan-friendly concession price strategy, and it makes total sense. If you price stuff reasonably, people will buy more of it and you'll make more money. What a concept!
