Chip Kelly and Scott Frost (UCLA and bugeaters)
Are the only two winless P5 teams.

As they say, be careful of what you wish for. Those damn bugeater fans who ran Solich and Pelini out of town on a rail have no one to blame but themselves for Callahan and Riley.

UCLA is a surfer school, enuf said.

I never would have guessed that. Also, other schools with coaching changes like FSU and AZ look pretty pathetic so far. Mississippi and Florida lost to Kentucky. Maybe if we wait around long enough KF’s fullback offense will be back in style, jk.

Exactly. Anyone remember Ferentz" first couple years?
True, but Bowlsby didn't start blazing his guns about how Michigan and Ohio State should have some trepidation when preparing for Nebraska or whatever it was that their AD said. Tom Vilsack didn't declare "Kirk Ferentz Day" for game one of the regime.

Frosr will turn it around. But there are other ways of stirring up fan interest other than how they did it. Self annointing before coaching one game in the conference doesn't quite fly. We knew how bad that team was at the end of last year, especially from a physical standpoint. That's why people are taking joy in Nebraska's pain right now.

I wouldn’t throw dirt on their graves just yet...

The posters who are clowning on Frost and Kelly are probably the same posters who were so confident that Iowa was going to beat Wisconsin last Saturday because Wisconsin's OL wasn't playing as well as they should and their D had lost too much from 2018. We all saw how that turned out.

Frost & Kelly both recruit well and run offenses kids want to play in. UCLA is a sleeping giant. Nebraska doesn't look good but they've played a tough schedule. Iowa would be 1-2 at best playing that slate.

Agreed it's year one for their efforts...but if I'm a coach with the schedule Nebraska has, I'm not saying anything about the B10 Championship game this year, unless it's to say that is our long term goal. I get what he's trying to do and saying it in the locker room is one thing, but that was a ridiculous statement in a public forum.

give them 3-4 years
Frost may get that much time but I doubt UCLA would give Kelly that... Frost I would bet will be given every chance to turn it around. Their D is so bad that they had no chance of turning it around in a yr or two. Those talking heads that thought they'd go bowling this yr or be in top 2 of the West are crazy

Isn't some of this reaction a response to the Cornhusker fans over-the-top reaction to Frost being hired. Both are out of proportion, and his success or lack of it, will be judged over the long haul, but it is fun to poke at Nebraska fans given their hyperbole. We all remember stuff like this:

Except, as dominant as Wisconsin has been in the West for years, we were maybe 2 plays from it.
Last year, 1 play from PSU.
We are not talking being dominated.

Btw, we still beat a very good ISU last year, smoked OSU, 1 play from PSU, had a brutal schedule, went to and won our bowl game. Started more freshman than most teams while doing it!!!!

Oh and that system that "kids like to play in" does little to prepare them for the next level and is a thing of the past.

How did Nebraska get so behind with the development and physicalness of their players? That's seems to be their big issue. I realize that they have had coaching changes, but they are still a Div 1 program and have had strength coaches with experience.

Are they having that much difficulty adjusting to the physical play of the BIG 10?

They are just starting building an new player development center. I guess its huge and expensive. I'm sure Frost made sure this was going to happen when he accepted the job. Like said above, we will see what they will be like in 3 years.

I'm not sold on that.
As I said we started a ton of freshman.
You think AJ or any of them are going to be the same man after 4 years here as the day they showed up?
