By the way the 2 wins over NW are not going to get headlines or grab everyone's attention but going 2-0 by 26 points in each is looking better by the day. Other teams aren't able to do this. They're actually 4-3 in the conference setting aside the games against Iowa. Wisconsin beat them by 27 at their place and then lost at home to the same team. Our 2nd win against them was during their current stretch where they're winning and playing with confidence. Perhaps Crawford's comments after the Iowa game did some good... NW has won their last 4 games against teams not named Michigan State and Iowa.

Well said, just a bump because this about sums it up! Guess what guys, that great Tournament at the end of the year, The Hawkeyes are thinking about playing in it again; that could be fun. If you liked the NIT, I'll bet you will like this one too.

Anyone still expect this team to close out close games? Call my motives for making the OP crybaby-ish all you want, but I think it's pretty clear that I wasn't wrong in my assessment.

I really don't ******* care. I had people suggesting I wasn't a Hawk fan because I said I didn't see them succeeding in these situations; it's pretty hard not to take that personally. I'm not happy Iowa is struggling at all, and I'd have gladly eaten crow. But I wasn't wrong; this team isn't that much better than last year.

Tork, I used to have respect for you. You lost a lot with the first posts in this thread, and now it's completely gone after your bump tonight.

Now, I see you as no different than all the trolls that come here after every loss saying how bad we are. We get it, you have given up on this team. That's great, then stop posting here and go back to cyfan. And congratulations on being right, I'm glad a "diehard" hawk fan gives up on his team.

I think the issue people are having is you seem to be more intent on proving that you are right than you are supporting the Hawks.

I believe part of what I love about college b-ball is the notion of a team figuring it out and getting over the hump. When it truly happens it is magic. I continue to believe....and during the down swings I drink heavily. :) Just my two cents.

I can see how it might seem that way. But trust me, if we'd rattled off a bunch of wins by closing out these last few games, I'd have dug this thread up myself, bib and all, ready for my serving of crow.
