Parker is way too smart to become a head coach.Parker is a great coach but I don’t think he would be a great CEO. I don’t see him enjoying or tolerating for very long media, fundraising, and all the other stuff that is asked more and more of the head coach. I don’t see him moving the needle in NIL or fundraising
OK. Who is that?View attachment 11780
I know there isn’t a chance in hell, but it would be…interesting.
He does look pretty good in black.
Jon GrudenOK. Who is that?
Thanks. Not a bad thought.Jon Gruden
Bill Bilechick......Jordan Hudson can spark any offense! He may not be interested in being a HC, but I think he'd be a great HC. Players respect him, coaches respect him and he seems to be a perfectionist with his defenses. He'd also be my top pick on the staff followed by Lavar. But, he ain't gunna be a head coach, unfortunately.
It moved!Bill Bilechick......Jordan Hudson can spark any offense!
I feel like my Zac Taylor suggestion needs some discussion. The premise from Fry is that Beth was "going after someone big" and if they land him, he will replace KF. That does not feel like an internal elevation. Again, I would be very disappointed if the best Beth thinks Iowa deserves is an internal hire. And if that were the case, what exactly is she "going after?" Every one of the three internal candidates would jump at this chance in a heartbeat. Why all the cloak and dagger?
Beth strikes me as someone who is going to shoot bigger than that. Zac Taylor. He is young. Has a good mind for offense and QBs. Was an NFL HC. Probably will not get another such gig in the near term, so why not move back to college and build some stability in his life? He has experience at the college and pro levels. He has some Big10/Midwest ties. He is a former Husker and every time he would beat them it would leave a shit taste in every Husker fan's mouth even more than normal. Actually, the last reason is all I need. Sign him Beth!!!
I went through my previous posts because I wanted to be sure, but I didn't say it was someone big. Also didn't say it was a no-namer either.I feel like my Zac Taylor suggestion needs some discussion. The premise from Fry is that Beth was "going after someone big" and if they land him, he will replace KF.
I would be enjoying this if I were you too.I went through my previous posts because I wanted to be sure, but I didn't say it was someone big. Also didn't say it was a no-namer either.
Frankly, I'm enjoying the poop show on these threads. It's kinda like I used to tell my kid he was really gonna like a certain one of his Christmas presents all the way back in November. The torture of him asking what it was but not saying anything for a couple months made me giggle. But I digress.
I have no idea if this person will agree to be the next HC which makes it even funnier. I love this board. It's our own little Island of Misfit Toys.
Do you think I didn't think of how that could be taken when I posted that?Your last sentence tells me all I need to know. If you know who the target is and you are not sure if they will take the job, it aint an internal hire.
Real suggestion for you. You should videotape yourself saying what you know with a time stamp. If it turns out to be legit information, you can post it and prove you had the goods.Do you think I didn't think of how that could be taken when I posted that?
No way. I don't care enough. The only information I posted was what I was told, not how it's going to end up turning out.Real suggestion for you. I mean if KF is still the coach next season, you will never live this one down. You have put yourself way, way out there on this deal, Fry. You are either going to be a big time hero or big time goat over this issue. Big time.
