I normally don't complain about officiating

I have never been banned from this iteration of HawkeyeNation, thank you very much. You guys might backslide into the tournament this year (I doubt it because your coach is a moron who will lose the team again, just like he did last year), but you have to be blind to think our future isn't brighter than yours. Carmody left a tire fire and Coach Collins has a tough rebuilding job, but we have some very solid freshmen and a top 100 player recruited for next year.

Define brighter? Do you think NW is going to the dance next year? Because that'd be sticking your neck out and perddy dang impressive if Collins could do that. Iowa regardless of this setback is probably going to go dancing this year yet and as far as what next year brings who the heck can really say. I didn't think this Iowa team was going to be where they are this year. I thought they'd take a significant step back losing Marble. He just handled the ball and scored so much I didn't see how that could be replaced and yet they've had some impressive wins you can't take away from them. Honestly I thought Iowa would be in the NIT this year before it started. We'll see how it plays out. Iowa is just schizo and plays up or down to their competition for some reason. (other then Wisky they got our number) It's frustrating and what makes them such a love or hate team.

I still want an example of a team not being whistled for a single foul for the final 16 minutes of a half. Pretty incredible.

This must have been an especially poorly officiated game. There are a few posters telling others to quit complaining about it, but not like what we usually see. Even some of the "Holier than thou" posters must be questioning the veracity of the officials.

What happened were you temporarily banned and now you're bringing all your frustration and anger on the purple kitties season out because they won. Enjoy having Doug Collins in the house come tournament time, oh wait.

What happened to OK4P? On another board he poasted that he is totally disgusted with the poor performance of Iowa athletics and the arrogance of the departments coaches and leadership and is switching allegiances. He lives in Evanston, just minutes from the NU campus, and was at yesterday's game. Fatty Pitz was at teh Welsh Ryan entrance handing out 2015 season ticket order forms. OK4P shook hands with the coach and took one.

This is not an act.

Pretty brutal. The worst Iowa has experienced in a long time. But Iowa should have been in a position that poor officiating didn't decide the game.

I honestly was so mad about how the game was going that i didn't notice the officiating all that much until i read some things on here. If it was truly the worst iowa has seen in a long time, it would be hard for any team to make that up. Vegas set the spread at 6 or so. That's like 3 or 4 lopsided calls. The worst iowa has seen in a long time is probably closer to 8-10 lopsided calls. If it was really that bad, we actually did pretty good to get to ot.

I wouldn't have went that far but there were a handful of bad calls/no calls. I have seen a lot worse. I'm with you that Iowa's play kept me frustrated with how they were playing more so then with the officiating at the time. But I did notice it some during the 2nd half. Honestly Uthoff deserved a W. The rest of the team I'm not sure deserved one. Uthoff held that team together by a string to keep them in it and get it to OT. Jok did his usual disappearing act late. (partially because of JO getting the mins) And Woody was just terrible. It was nice to JO hit a couple big shots. Really nice but that's what he's supposed to have been doing all year. If he goes 2-5 or 2-7 all yr long we'd be ok with it but not jumping up and down ecstatic over it.

Officiating was pretty inconsistent, but we lost to one of the worst B1G teams in recent memory, so…

The refusal to use timeouts, especially on the road, makes me want to dive through the TEEVEE like that Seahawks fan. Also, the lack of post touches for a team with 3 starters 6’9+ is mind numbing. That’s on the coaches. But mostly, the players need to man up for 40 min and and not be afraid to go strong to the hoop or take a wide-open jumper. You do play in the B1G for sh*t’s sake.
