Here's why I am not worried about beating the clones this season...............

run right at and through mr. 'i picked isu because they play iowa' coe.

Do you understand the nature of the Iowa-Iowa State series in football and basketball? Steel Jantz? LaFester Rhodes? There are many games where someone will look like an all-star against Iowa never to be heard from again. Either Coe will look better than Ndamakong Suh for 60 minutes or ISU's QB will come out of the game on the Heisman watch list. It is a law of nature.

I agree with you on the clown that's "never to be heard of from again" in past years. After watching their game on Saturday I don't believe it's going to happen. They're bad and not just sorta bad.

Then again, Ferentz sucks at preparing the guys for ISU.

I think Iowa is 0 for their last 5 or 6 against less talented teams.

Playing an awful team has never stopped Kirk from losing a game, he usually finds a way to do it.

Iowa fans should know better than to take a bad ISU team lightly regardless of what Iowa's record is when KF is the coach. If rhoads was anything resembling a head coach his game plan should be to chuck it deep early and often, oh and run a fake punt every time.

Whos taking it lightly? I see most everyone predicting a loss.

So basically, both teams' fanbases are convinced that their own teams suck (and they'd be right, as of this moment) and so we can hope for a 7-3 final score to out-stink last year's stinkfest? Oh. Boy. Sign me up.

Honestly, this is the first time that I can remember not giving a flying monkey trucker about this game and just knowing that it will be more fun to drink than to watch it. Heck, I'd rather watch tOSU beat up on another D2 school...

Here's why I am worried about beating the clones this season.
Kirk has won at Ames only twice (2003 and 2009), and he needed teams that finished in the Top 10 to accomplish a win at Ames.
This team is nowhere close to a Top 10 team.

Just like most games...yards won't matter, it'll come down only to turnovers.

Iowa State was +2 on turnovers vs uni and they fumbled one in the endzone taking points directly off the board.

Iowa State should have lost that uni game by at least 15. If turnovers were even it probably would have been 21+

2011 ISU
2011 Minnesota
2012 ISU
2012 CMU
2012 Purdue
2013 NIU

I comfortable with my subjective opinion on it. Those are crap teams that Iowa lost to and in allot of them it took some stupid mistakes by Iowa to lose.

The fact that you have not included Northwestern in the "less talented" teams we have lost to speaks volumes about the state of Iowa Football. The talent on this ballclub has slid drastically in the past 5 years.

The fact that Minnesota is on the list of less talented teams also speaks volumes. We're talking about the legacy of Carl Eller and Bruce Smith here. If Bronko Nagurski read this, he'd climb out of his urn and inflict as much severe brain damage on you people as he received on the field.

Yeah, hard to believe Minnesota has fallen so far. But Brock Lesnar went there for wrestling. I'd take Brock Lesnar over Ashton Kutcher and Tom Arnold.

I agree with most of them, but NIU came in with a very talented QB and a offensive line that has been together for two years. And they won 12 games last year. And now that they have beat Iowa they will probably be undefeated in the regular season.
