Here's why I am not worried about beating the clones this season...............

This is from cyclonefanatic.com board.............................

"I've been a fan for 35 years or more. By now, I know dog **** when I see it.

There is no excuse. LOL at the "dump the UNI series" thread. If we can't beat UNI (at home), we might as well drop football. It's a disgrace. Admit it. You'll find it to be very liberating"

Reading the above should make all hawk fans feel a bit better about the game in Ames this season.

Uh ... I think something similiar happened a few years ago ... ISU lost at home to UNI .. Iowa fans were all confident we would go in and win ... We didn't win ...

Nothing like facing your rival on the road after they just get embarrassed at home by UNI with 2 weeks (Sept 7th BYE week) to prepare just for Iowa. Oh the joy sign me up. :)

You guys should go over there and read what they are saying. Most of them are saying that half the roster is made up of D-1aa type talent. This is clones talking about themselves. I don't think you guys realize just how bad Isu is this year.

ISU was bad tonight. I think we have a better team, but I thought we looked like we had a better team than NIU...they, ISU, however will outcoach us and be very Pwoud of their season accomplishment and goal. Albeit, their loss today helps take some of the taint out of our loss.

No, it doesn't. Heck, I'd be fine with ISU going 11-1 every year as long as the loss was to Iowa. Nothing short of Kate Upton waiting in a bathroom stall whispering into my ear that she wants to role play Lois Feldman can mitigate the pain of losing to a MAC team.

Rhodes will have his team ready to play and KF may show up half awake. It will also be Rudock's first road game. I don't feel all that confident about coming out of Ames with a win.

Iowa has showed up in Ames with the better team before and lost. But I'm hoping Iowa shows up with their own chip.

Only won twice (2003 and 2009) in Ames, and those were with teams that finished in the Top 8 at the season.
We won't finish anywhere near the Top 8, and can count on another loss at Ames.

Kurt will lose to State. I guarantee it. I'm so confident of it that I'll put $50 on it to put my money where my mouth is, and I never bet on sports.

Clown U could suit up the band and Careful Kurt would find a way to lose to them, especially at Trice Dump. It's a foregone conclusion. It's done. Might as well embrace it and profit off it.

I am really looking forward to the ISU game, simply because it is truly a crossroads game for the Iowa program. Win and you should go into the Big Ten at 3-1 with some winnable conference games (Minn, MSU, Purdue). Lose and I feel the wheels will come off, and you will see more and more unsold/empty seats in Kinnick. And those empty seats may actually force the administration to think about making a change (even with the large buyout).

Iowa vs. Iowa State this year is going to be the pillow fight of the century. Iowa can lose this year's game and it will bug me FAR less than the loss to those guys in 2002 does.. Because Iowa had a real football team that year, and still lost that game.

To Iowa, this will be "just another game on the schedule". Always has been that way under KF, and I suspect that's why Iowa has a losing record against ISU on KF's watch. ISU has wanted it more, because they actually treat it like the rivalry that it is.

The clowns defense is softer than the Snuggle bear. Weisman and Bullock are gonna run all over them.

Call me a cynic, but N. Illinois' defense was also supposed to be vulnerable after losing so much from last year. Iowa scored 3 points in the second half yesterday against them. Greg Davis is going to have to show me the money before I believe it.

At some point people will realize that "winnable" games are only "winnable" after we prove we can win any games...we have a 7 game losing streak...we have no reason to think we can win any games until this team proves otherwise.

Do I hope they can change that, of course, but anything other than that is a pipedream at this point.

We are 6-13 going back the last 19 games to 2011 and that includes 5 non BCS teams, plus the worst FCS UNI team they had in a 10 year period.

I realized it. I am just happy the clownies realize it now too. They swallowed the hype that Pollard gave them, and now they all realize they were duped. Of course, do they get mad at Pollard? Do they get mad at Rhoades? Nope. They get mad at the OC, like he is responsible for their disappointment.

Iowa fans have been down that path...
