I knew this day was coming soon, just didn't expect it today. Last I heard, he was in good health living in Vegas.

Remember when he just got to Iowa City and was walking thru the field house with Bump Elliott and Hayden said hello to me and some friends who just finished a pick up game. I didn't even know who it was until my buddy said , " Do you know who that was?" New football coach. I'll be damned really. Was a great coach and better person.

Had colon cancer. Got moved to hospice. I don't think it was unexpected.

Where have you been? He lived in Mesquite, but it’s been known he moved back to Texas a few years ago.
