Even though Rutgers was a much harder fought game than UMass, Gronowske was surprisingly consistent in the passing game across both efforts.

UMass 16 of 24 66.7% 179 yrds 7.5 yrd/A 2 TD-pass 1 TD-run 0 Int 2 sack for 11 yrd-loss QB rating 156.8

Rutgers 12 of 18 66.7% 186 yrds 10.3 yrd/A 0 TD-pass 3 TD-run 0 int 2 sack for 7 yrd-loss QB rating 153.3

Gronowski Rushing in both games

UMass - 6 attempts for 12 yards 1 TD
Rutgers - 13 attempts for 55 yards 3 TD

This is going to get a lot harder against good defensive fronts, especially in the red zone. Time to practice those end zone passes.

Third down conversions didn't stack up so well for Iowa against Rutgers. Two of the chances were missed easy passes. Another was a sack.

Against Rutgers: 3 of 8 on third down; no fourth down tries.
Against UMass: 10 of 16 on third down; 1 of 2 on fourth.

Iowa had a good deal of success converting on second down, giving them less third downs.

All running backs seem to get enough momentum and push to fall forward most of the time. There were quite a few times it looked like no gain then out of nowhere they fall 3-4 yards
